I checked your timeline and 2 days ago you were retweeting somebody who was making videos mocking Dale Partridge. You're a contributor to the dark side of social media, you're a contributor to the "vile, disgusting behavior" that you condemn in others, and this indignation against people gloating over the Sey situation is just performative outrage. It would be nice if some of you people would just apologize and admit you were wrong for once in your lives. Is that asking too much for a Christian?

This has been probably the darkest 24 hours I’ve ever experienced on social media in my life. The things being said about Samuel, his wife, and his small children are unthinkably evil. There is a segment of the so-called “Christian” nationalist crowd that has given itself completely over to Satan. I’ve never had more resolve to defeat these subversive demons invading the Right and invading Christianity.

I still stand with Samuel Sey.
I would rather end up looking like a fool than immediately question his character simply because a government agency put out a statement that seems to contradict what his family and friends have been saying about his situation.
I've wrestled with the DMV when they issued me a license with my name wrong, a name that matched neither my birth certificate nor my post-marriage SS card. I messed up my taxes my first year out of college, got audited, and had to go on a payment plan for a year to make it right.
I'm pro-ICE. I'm for the rule of law. And I'm also not so silly as to think that our government system never makes mistakes, and that good people who are law-abiding and filing paperwork to the best of their ability and knowledge don't ever get hurt, whether the error is on their side or the government's (I've experienced both).
I'm praying for the Seys that God watches over them, that Annie and the kids are comforted and cared for, that Samuel has wisdom and courage, and that God puts this right as soon as possible.

As a CN I’d like to take responsibility and properly step back for my claims that Samuel say did something wrong. I now realise the error of my ways in assuming he could read.

Praying that @SlowToWrite gets this resolved soon, and can be reunited with his family in Ohio as soon as possible. There's no scandal here, and no one should be rejoicing.
