🚨 Jamie Carragher On Cristiano Ronaldo Leading the Ballon d’Or Greatest Campaign Vote: 🗣️ I’m not surprised at all, you know? When you’ve tried every possible way to maintain the standard without forcing it, you take every opportunity you see. And that’s exactly what Cristiano Ronaldo’s fans are doing right now. They’re pushing hard for it, of course. This is one of the only remaining chances Ronaldo has to be recognised again at that level. In the World Cup? Not there. Major trophies? Retired. Individual awards? Retired. So there’s almost nothing left for him… except the 1000-goal landmark. And all of this is still being framed in comparison to Lionel Messi. Well, whether he wins this vote or not doesn’t change the facts. Lionel Messi is a better player than him. It’s that simple.
