i've been using iphone for 6 years now and i didn't even know that some of the features that this guy listed here exists lol. if it wasnt just for auto-update, i'm pretty sure, that i havent updated my phone intentionally for the past 3+ years since I bough it. i don't even take pictures of myself. my entire gallery is just filled with: 1. picture of my dogs 2. photo of the foods that I cooked 3. screenshots of random essays, quotes, memes now that i've deleted TG, X and discord on it, it's sole purpose is just for browsing facebook reels and for food delivery.
A guy will buy the iPhone 18 Pro Max this month. He'll transfer his data from his old phone. He'll set a wallpaper. He'll arrange his apps. He'll open Instagram. And for the next 2 years, he'll use the most advanced smartphone ever built to scroll social media, send texts, take photos on auto mode, and check email the same 5 tasks he performed on the iPhone 13 Pro he's replacing. He won't discover the variable aperture camera that gives him DSLR-level depth-of-field control for the first time in iPhone history. He won't configure the Action Button that replaces 3 daily app-hunting routines with a single press. He won't set the battery charge limit that adds 2 years to the battery's lifespan. He won't use Back Tap to launch shortcuts by tapping the back of the phone twice. He won't adjust the flashlight beam width from spotlight to floodlight. He won't activate the keyboard trackpad hidden inside the spacebar. He won't turn on StandBy mode that transforms the phone into a bedside smart display while charging. His coworker a former Apple Store Genius who spent 4 years watching customers use 20% of their iPhones told him the iPhone 18 Pro Max ships with iOS 27 and approximately 400 features most owners never open. "The phone doesn't need to be more powerful. You need to explore more than 20% of what's already there." She showed him 11 hidden features that transform the iPhone 18 Pro Max from a $1,499 social media scroller into the device Apple actually built. Here's the full playbook 🧡

yes please. just give me a proper web3 game where i would genuinely play for years like i did for some of the titles that i played competitively. above all, it must be fun to be queued against CT larps and stomp them ingame at least for once. i don't mind if it's MOBA or FPS.
i am begging you, PLEASE make a genuinely high quality game that incorporates crypto. not a token with a game duct taped to it. not another idle clicker. not some shit i play for 4 days because there’s an airdrop. give me a game i actually WANT to waste 6 hours a day on. give me insanely rare items to hunt. real progression. difficult grinds. player trading. an actual economy. items that people give a shit about owning. then build aggressive burn mechanics into everything. crafting burns items. upgrading burns items. rerolling stats burns items. entering certain areas burns resources. repairing gear burns resources. prestige burns shit. make the economy constantly consume what players are producing instead of infinitely inflating until everything is worthless. i want to log in every morning wondering if today is the day i find some 1/1000 piece of shit that makes me lose my mind. crypto should make the game MORE interesting, not be the entire reason the game exists. is WEB3 gaming really too much to ask for?

there aren't a lot of people i've met in this industry who i can say genuinely care about this industry and the people in it. but if there's one guy that i could confidently reference anytime; @wiimee is one of the very few. it's easy for a lot of people here to pretend that they care about the ethos, the culture, the builders, and the future of the space. until you eventually realize that a lot of them only maintain that character because they're incentivized to do so. wanna know the hard truth behind the biggest accounts that most of you pontify? for them, appearing principled is profitable. appearing concerned gives them influence. appearing like they care serves their own self-interest. a wolf in sheep's clothing. and there are plenty of them here. the unfortunate part is that most of us are terrible at discerning who these people are. worse, we often end up intentionally electing them to lead the narrative. meanwhile, people like this guy who actually spend their time and effort improving their craft and helping make this space more secure, barely receives the same attention. and that says a lot about the current state of this industry. and frankly, it's becoming increasingly difficult even for me to find a good reason to remain optimistic about where we're heading. i'm still not sure whether i'll eventually go back to creating educational content and writing about the business side of this space, trying to help people think better so they're less susceptible to grifters and bad actors. or whether i'll just delete this account at some point and finally move on. because after spending years here, one thing has become painfully clear: this space doesn't have a shortage of people who know how to look like they care. it lacks of people who actually do.
An urgent email to protect my crypto. Finally. Someone taking my financial future seriously. Looks official, sounds important. Trezor, BitBox, CoinTracking users: This one's for you. 10/10 customer service.

truth be told: most people / communities that are asking projects for collaborations don't actually bring any substantial value to the project. would even argue that, in many cases, these collabs are -EV, especially IF your team is already confident enough that you can solve the necessary organic social traction. as we all know traction = liquidity. you guys would hate to hear this but most of these "collabs" is essentially just a modern form of e-begging, particularly among so-called alpha communities whose primary incentive is simply finding another opportunity for their members to extract from. (adding here all the frauds and gatekeeping happening behind. eg. collab managers and alpha community founders taking multiple spots to keep on their own or to sell the whitelist on WL blackmarket like exsaverse) if you're a founder on a right mind, it's even generous to assume that these communities will genuinely support your project after getting access. more often than not, their relationship with the project is entirely conditional on price performance. if they make money, they're happy - to some extent, would willingly boost your ego on the TL like an idiot. and man, first time and inexperienced founders love it so much. so it's hard to blame them on that. lmao. but the hard part is: if they don't get the 5x or 10x they expected, there's a decent chance that the same people who were asking for allocations, WLs, and partnerships a week earlier will be among the first ones fudding your project into the ground. (I've been in this space for close to 6 years and have been in NFTs since 2021 - operated as a creator, worked with agencies, and have helped founders and projects independently. so I can assure you that i've already seen things, worse, the bullshits in this space than most of you.) wanna know one more truth that would hurt most of you? a lot of alpha communities and dead project communities actually function less like actual communities and more like vultures circling projects, waiting for something they can extract value from. very few are genuinely invested in helping a project grow from the ground up, contributing distribution, feedback, users, ideas, or anything that provides substantial value to the project. and this is also why I've always found the gatekeeping culture in this space so disgusting. founders are constantly made to feel like they need the approval of certain communities, KOLs, or insiders just to earn legitimacy, credibility and distribution. when in reality, many of these gatekeepers contribute very little to the actual creation of value. I'd even argue this culture is also one of the reasons the space has remained so regressive for years. you don't need to have 3 digits of IQ to understand that when access, attention, and distribution are controlled by the VERY SAME people whose incentives are overwhelmingly extractive; you are then willingly creating an ecosystem that rewards proximity and rent-seeking far more than genuine contribution. and then we wonder why everything keeps becoming increasingly transactional.

this is what real marketing creativity looks like, and probably one of the best campaigns i've seen in a while! the best part is; this wasn't even an ad campaign made by @ParkerPens themselves. all of this started with an unsolicited spec ad for Parker posted by a guy on LinkedIn. and it went viral! so Parker essentially became an accidental beneficiary of this crowdsourced advertising but was really smart and agile enough to capitalize on it. they didn't commission one nor hundreds of creatives to brainstorm for them. people voluntarily did it. and I just love seeing marketing happen like this. something genuinely creative emerges from the internet, the brand understands the opportunity in front of them, and everybody involved somehow gets to win. definitely a much more interesting version of "user-generated content" opposed to some of the highly-optimized and artificially manufactured UGC that we're seeing from brands right now.

i only had around 2–3 hours of sleep per day for the entire week while i was attending to my grandma at the hospital. but for some reason, during that time, i never really felt sleepy or tired at all. we finally got home the other day and wow, now i feel like i'm dying from the flu. hahaha! even so, i'm grateful that i had the strength when i needed it the most. definitely need to catch up on sleep and give myself some proper rest now though. i missed dabbling around in twitter.
prayer works! finally, after almost a week in the hospital, 4 days of which were spent in the ICU, my grandmother has finally been given clearance to be discharged tomorrow. and all i really want to say is thank you from the bottom of my heart. thank you to everyone who prayed for her and to everyone who sent thoughtful messages over the past few days. all of it meant so much to me and to my family, and i genuinely believe it helped us get through what has probably been one of the most difficult weeks we've had in a long time. and in retrospect, somehow, despite all the challenges that have been coming my way lately, especially with this being the biggest one, this whole experience actually changed a lot of my perspective in life. the past few days gave me a lot of time to reflect on what's been happening in my life and, more importantly, to reevaluate why i've been so frustrated, anxious, and honestly just tired for the past few months. and for what it's worth, i think i had every reason to feel that way. since last year, i've had to deal with burning everything back down my port back to zero, losing my job, closing down my business, and just watching a lot of the things that i spent years building disappear one after another. and it's really hard not to look at life somewhat nihilistically after going through all of that. and no wonder it's been so difficult for me to maintain any kind of positive outlook for quite a while now. but this past week made me realize a lot of things. first, it reaffirmed something i've always known about myself: nothing really matters to me more than my family. i've always been family-oriented, but i think this experience really established that for me in a way that nothing else could. and second, i've realized that a lot of the things i've spent the past few years holding on to, protecting, and worrying about don't really mean as much to me anymore. especially the material things. i've reached a point where i genuinely don't give a fuck anymore if my life gets dragged back down to zero again, as long as i get to spend more time with my family and make sure they're okay. and i mean that. that's actually part of the reason why i've barely been around here on X these past few days. i've been aggressively selling a lot of the things i've accumulated over the years. some of my personal belongings, my laptop, and some materials things i've collected - basically anything i can let go of, just to help keep up with the medical bills. and for some reason, i don't feel bad about it anymore. a few months ago, maybe even a few weeks ago, i probably would've looked at that as another thing i've lost. now, i just see it as stuff. stuff that can be replaced, stuff that can be earned again. stuff that doesn't really matter as long as the people i love are still here. and that's the biggest realization i've had from all of this. i've spent so much time being frustrated about how my life has been going downhill, worrying about what i've lost, worrying about what i have to rebuild, worrying about whether i'll ever get back to where i was. i mean, sure, the problems are still there. In fact, the hospital bill is piling up so much right now. i know i still have a lot of things to figure out. but somehow, i feel calmer now. this challenge made me realize which problems are actually worth worrying about. again, thank you, genuinely, to everyone who prayed for her, checked on us, sent messages, or simply kept her in your thoughts. i don't think i'll ever be able to properly explain how much that meant to us. thank you! πŸ™‡β€β™‚οΈ

funny enough, most of the KOLs who are nailing Kickz to the cross rn are also the same ones who kept repeatedly begging him for dealflows and whitelists back then. not saying that Kickz doesnt suck. what's entertaining to watch is how hypocrite some ppl in this space sometimes. no one wants to call him out back then when he still practically holds most of the dealflows. but apparently, everyone has a concern about what he did back then rn.
Literally, 5 days later… 😐

this post isnt about loki btw. fwiw, birdman gets his deals directly from projects / founders and seldom has to go through agencies and mediators like Kickz.

I grew up as a Christian, and in fact, I spent a large part of my childhood actively serving in the ministry. but if there's one thing I'm genuinely grateful for in Web3, it's the privilege of meeting a lot of Muslim friends. it's honestly fascinating to me that despite the differences in theological teachings in our religion, I've found people here who somehow remind me so much of my own faith, values, and upbringing. especially in how devoted they are to their faith, how strongly they hold on to their values, and how they manage to keep their principles despite being in a space that often promotes the complete opposite. part of the reason I've always stayed away from the gambling side of crypto and, to some extent, memecoins is because of my own religious upbringing. and for years, I've honestly felt a little out of place because of that. It's difficult not to when gambling isn't just accepted in this space, but in fact, often glorified and treated almost like a part of the culture itself. but seeing some of my Muslim friends hold on so strongly to their faith despite all of that has, in a strange way, made me feel less alone. especially after meeting people like @Smitty_xyz and @SHL_eth, I've come to appreciate how much their example has reminded me to hold on to my own faith and values too. all i can say is that, someday, in this life or the next, I'd gladly testify to the kindness of your heart and action, friends. I hope we all continue to hold on to our faith, our values, and our principles despite all the temptations this space puts in front of us. not easy but i pray that we can find our own ways to succeed while keeping our faith.
Dear muslim brothers & sisters in web3, The Messenger of Allah (ο·Ί) said: "The feet of a slave will not move on the Day of Judgement until he is questioned about four things: about his life, how he spent it; about his knowledge, what he did with it; about his wealth, from where he earned it and in what he spent it; and about his body, in what he wore it out." I don’t know how you make your money, but you know Keep yourself accountable to every penny you make and remember that our end goal is the Akhirah Keeping this as a reminder for me first before you I love you

this is genius! 🀯 i was trying to download FOMO earlier, so naturally i searched "fomo" on the App Store. but instead of FOMO showing up as the first result, Pumpfun was sitting right on top of it. obviously, the easiest explanation is simple: they paid for the ad. but surely there's a little more nuance to this that i hope growth marketers and appstore/playstore ad strategists can enlighten me with. why does Pfun was somehow eligible to compete for a search as specific as "FOMO" despite being a competitor rather than the app i was actually looking for? i desperately need to learn this ngl. this is a genius demand interception strategy.

we've been so accustomed to mediocrity in this space that it's so hard not to highlight and give props to teams that executes flawlessly like this. not even traditional banks would process this fast let alone would offer 10% compensation. this should set a good precedent. but yes, users need more affirmations about the security moving forward.
Every affected user has now received their full refund, plus an additional 10% to each user. We worked closely with Rain and our security partners from identification through resolution. Building for the long term means choosing partners who share the same standard when it matters most: put users first and make things right. Thanks, @raincards , for moving quickly with us.

not sure if it's a good or bad thing but i don't feel even a single bit of fomo anymore despite how euphoric the timeline is over the past few days. genuinely happy to see my friends winning though. i will always clap the loudest for you guys. enjoy the this run!

despite all the flaws that this space has, if there's one thing i will always be grateful for; it's the chance to meet some of the most genuine and kind people on the internet. i intentionally detached myself on ct for a year now after a series of L's that only made me see worst of this space. but the past few days - especially with the amount of people sending kind DMs made me realize and feel why at some point, i am so convinced on giving everything that i have for this industry. there are plenty of amazing people here. we just gotta look at the right places.

really appreciate all the kind words, friends. i never expected to receive this much love from people i've only met online. i pray for the day that i could personally thank you all someday. my grandma is still in the ICU, but she finally regained consciousness after 30+ hours. she's still unresponsive, but at least we're seeing some signs of progress. i hope we'll continue to see better progress in the coming days. also, i'm not really sure how to put this into words, but i really want to say that nothing else matters. i've probably had this thought cross my mind a million times since yesterday, but there's really nothing else in this world that matters more than your family. hold them dearly. appreciate every single moment you get to spend with them. do everything you can to make memories with them. spend time with them. tell them you love them. be there for them. because at the end of the day, they're the only one that will matter. nothing else.

the guys at @CompoundVC write so well that it literally became my last trigger to finally download the Substack app. i've been aggressively uninstalling apps for the past few months, trying to limit my phone usage to basically just X. but i found another reason today to finally add a new one. everyone on their team is a must-follow. and in fact, i beg you to. it's hard to find people who have such a tasteful degree of culture paired with superb intellectual capacity. Compound is literally filled with ppl where you actually want to read everything they put out.
