So post stroke, I feel sometimes like I am in God's waiting room. There are still heart and kidney concerns so am I just waiting to die? In my darkest moments that is how I feel even there is no precise evidence to go on. So help me turn that frown upside down please chat.

What a great idea! Be a bibiliofriend!
I wish more people knew this simple trick to support indie authors! Did you know you can ask your local library to order their books through OverDrive or Hoopla? • Costs you nothing • Authors earn royalties • Your community gets access Simple win-win.

Please follow Lake Ontario!
I was given my name by the Iroquois Nation many hundreds of years ago. By 1660 my name was printed on maps by the Europeans as they accepted the Native name which means Beautiful waters. In 1867 the Canadian government decided to use my name for their providence.

Legitimate certified heroine for so many reasons. RIP Dolly - may flights of angels sing you to your rest xxx
So much will be said about the wonderful Dolly Parton and her extraordinary music, but as a bookseller, I also wanted to remember the incredible work she did through her Imagination Library. Inspired by her father, who couldn’t read or write, Dolly started the charity in 1995, sending free books to young children every month. It grew into something enormous, putting hundreds of millions of books into the hands of children around the world. What an incredible legacy. Giving children books, stories and a lifelong love of reading. Thank you for the music, Dolly, but from this little indie bookshop, thank you for the books too 💖

Thanks to K.W. for this sage advice. @KWBussard_ I hope you win against 'the machine'. We love our readers, especially wonderful unicorns who write reviews! Amazon's AI can seem like a law to itself so please read this and bless you if you follow the guidance as it really helps!
A QUICK NOTE FOR ARC READERS, GIVEAWAY WINNERS & READERS WHO RECEIVE FREE COPIES If you receive one of my books as an ARC, giveaway copy, promotional copy, or simply because I handed you a free book, please be careful with the wording you use if you decide to leave a review on Amazon. Over the last week, Amazon has removed three reviews/ratings from The First Glimpse. I have appealed the removals, but so far I have received little beyond automated Customer Service responses and the usual support loop. Amazon allows authors to provide readers with free or discounted copies of their books. The problem appears to be language that can make a completely legitimate review sound as though the book was given in exchange for the review. So please DO NOT use phrases like: “I received this book in exchange for an honest review.” “The author gave me a free copy in exchange for my review.” “I was provided this book for reviewing it.” “I received a complimentary copy for this review.” “I was given this ARC in return for an honest review.” Or Anything else suggesting that receiving the book was conditional upon leaving a review. That wording can make it sound like the review was part of a transaction, even when that absolutely was not the case. If you want to disclose that you received an ARC or free copy, something simple is much clearer: “I received an advance copy of this book. All opinions are my own.” or “I received a complimentary copy of this book. I chose to leave this review voluntarily.” Most importantly, receiving a book from me never obligates you to review it. Reviews are nice to have, but I do not require reviews from ARC readers, giveaway winners, convention attendees, or anyone else who receives a free copy. If you choose to review it, the rating and opinion are entirely yours, whether you loved it, hated it, or it landed somewhere in between. None of us enjoy having a genuine 3, 4, or 5-star review deleted because an AI/automated system interpreted one sentence as a compensated review. Please keep this in mind when reviewing indie authors in general. A few innocent words can apparently make a legitimate reader review look like something it isn't.

Dorothy Malone not only stole this scene in "The Big Sleep" - which premiered this day in 1946 - she remains of the most unforgettable characters in the entire film. Does she interest you - vaguely?

Rita Moreno’s unforgettable performance of “Fever” on The Muppet Show originally aired in 1976, with Animal wildly backing her on drums. The performance became one of the most memorable moments of her appearance—and it ultimately earned Moreno a Primetime Emmy Award in 1977. 🎶❤️
