i don't understand why anyone is rooting for rebel moon to fail, their pretty good movies that pushes the boundaries of the genre in ways we rarely see
yeah root for the r-rated space operas to fail so we only get the same corporate/formulaic sci-fi films going forward...?

This is absolutely perfect to explain why the quality of DC is in the shitter.
What kind of way is this to operate?
Peter Safran discusses casting actors for multiple projects in the DCU:
"We are always looking for volunteers and not recruits, and when people are volunteers, they tend to be open to making deals that are somewhat open-ended... They know we need more. It's never, âJust come do this one movie.â"

For those feigning concern about me being âpunishedâ by Warner Bros., I havenât been to a WB screening in nearly five years. I live 3 hours away from London, and the trip costs at least ÂŁ150. No review is worth that much. So yeah, I donât give a fuck. Just to clear that up. đđ»
#Clayface is uninspired and unoriginal. Outside of a great nightclub sequence, itâs neither a good horror movie (body horror is ruined by bad VFX) nor a good comic book movie (Gotham has no personality). Tom Rhys Harries is great, but thatâs about it. Even Clayface looks bad. đ

Let @sydney_sweeney show up to the gym dressed in the clothes he was talking aboutâŠ
And see how quickly these same âoutragedâ women start agreeing with @Shanemgillis.
It would make your head spin.

I've been going to gyms in Ireland on and off for 15 years. There are far more women in gyms now, and it's not even close.
Yes, they've gone from dressing sensibly to dressing in gym bikinis and full face make-up (like whores). It's not misogyny to describe a real phenomenon.

good to know that official DC employees want me dead because I don't like a show they made
One of the hosts of DCâs official podcast is going viral for what he said about Lanterns critics.
Coy Jandreau, who co-hosts DC Studios Showcase: The Official Podcast, went off during a Reel Rejects discussion about the backlash to the finale.
âThey can choke on their own tongues, dude.â
Then he went further:
âTheyâre not worth living and weâre overpopulated.â
Jandreau also called people online âembarrassments to carbonâ and said there are âa lot of people that just shouldnât⊠be.â
At another point, he joked about whether he would save someone from drowning if he thought they were an idiot.
"Maybe."
The comments came while he and Greg Alba were responding to people attacking Alba over his take on Hal Jordan and the Lanterns finale.
The clip is now spreading across X, with one viral post asking whether an official DC podcast host just said he wants Lanterns trolls dead.
This comes while the Lanterns backlash is still rolling, the show has the lowest Rotten Tomatoes fan score of any James Gunn DC project, and Clayface is already facing boycott calls.
CBN has reached out to HBO Max, DC Studios, and Skydance for comment.

The amount of stuff wrong with #Lanterns is impossible to even quantify. It wasnât just the finale. Probably the worst âsuperheroâ show ever made.
@davidellison
DC veteran Grant Morrison reviewed Lanterns, and they had more than a few criticisms of its "morally and legally incoherent" finale. bit.ly/4yM1d2a

I did not mind her being voted off because I found the "they" business needlessly distracting when the speaker was referring to what was very plainly a woman.
It was stupid and I hate stupidity.
It gets my goat.
Itâs a shame Bella Ramsey has left The Celebrity Traitors so early in the series. Thereâs no doubt The Last of Us star is a charismatic talent.
But itâs telling that the BBC show uses absurd and grammatically baffling they/them pronouns throughout when referring to Ramsey, even though she explicitly said back in 2023 that it was impossible to misgender her, and that people should simply use whichever pronouns they felt appropriate.
Itâs yet another reminder that when it comes to gender ideology, the BBC fails in its duty to apply due impartiality.

EVERY time DC tries to go with the comedy poppy "gee shucks" tone it fails. Reeve got so pissed with the tone of his Superman movies he tried to make his own only for the studio to give him zero budget to do it, Schumacher basically turned it into Batman 66 and killed the franchise for years, Whatever Johns and Hamada did with DC killed the entire universe and now we have James Gunn films flopping on their arse. Meanwhile, Tim Burton's dark Batman had the world in a grasp when Batman 89 came out, Nolan had 2 billion dollar Batman movies, Snyder's Batman was in an $873m grossing epic, Joker cleared a billion and even Reeves Batman, as much as I disliked it was one of the only recent performers for DC. You only have to look at the evidence to see the general audience prefer DC and especially Batman to be dark.
Ben Affleck comments on DC and whether or not comic book movies should be family friendly:
âIt seems to be an ongoing question, and I donât know the answer: Do you go all the way to a hard-R rating like âJokerâ? Or do it like Marvel, which does something broad, unless youâre talking about âDeadpool & Wolverineâ?
The interesting thing with the DC characters [comes down] to the legacy of Frank Miller. There seems to be more tension between, âAre we doing the grown-up version or the one thatâs open to kids?â Thereâs a risk of being a feathered fish.â

For the women wondering how men treat fellow men convicted of child murder đđ. They don't wear blue, carry placards in protest and blame mental health.
đšBREAKING: Convicted child killer Kyle Bevan was brutally stabbed more than 30 times by fellow inmates in a savage 5-minute prison attack at HMP Wakefield â and was left for dead.
Bevan was serving a life sentence for the horrific 2020 murder of two-year-old Lola James, whom he subjected to a savage assault causing catastrophic brain injuries and over 100 wounds.
The brutal prison attack is being seen by many as raw "prison justice" for his crimes against an innocent toddler.
