@twentyonepilots @joshuadun @tylerrjoseph As a nonprofit creating accessible practices in the music industry, we want to help. This is what we do. This time, it was one of our own that got hurt, & we want to help create policies that prevent this & are fair for all. Can we talk?
Things I still hear and learn about disability access after 15 years as a neurodivergent person, ally, and accessibility support person part 3: The excuse is STILL ‘lots of people fake disability so we just can’t give special treatment’
Things I still hear and learn about disability access after 15 years as a neurodivergent person, ally, and accessibility support person: 2) non-disabled people still confuse equality and equity. 3) no one takes responsibility for discrimination: ‘we do the best we can’
Things I still hear and learn about disability access after 15 years as a neurodivergent person, ally, and accessibility support person: 1) Autism is still not considered ‘disabled enough’ for accommodations yet ‘too disabled to be safe having the same experience as others.’
