Puma once partnered with Nigeria in 2019 in a deal worth $2.7m to supply athletes with uniforms for 4 years. They were to receive 40 items each.
They pulled out of the deal when one of our athletes was recorded re-washing his uniform & athletics federation failed to register athlete for testing.
In this deal, Puma would have paid $15,000 for Gold, $5,000 for Silver and $3,000 for Bronze each to the athletes.
The Nigerian athletics federation failed to register athletes to be tested before the games. This led to 10 of them being disqualified. They even protested.
