Co-developed with Deaf Communities across 8+ countries, Senso is grounded in years of lived experience and focus groups.
As we approach launch, we’re hosting virtual demos to show how Senso turns important sounds into vibrations & LED lights.

It's been years since our last post. BUT, we're excited to say that we're entering a new chapter. After all this time, we're finally getting ready to...LAUNCH. Thanks for being part of this journey. More updates soon.

One of the sustained emotions we've gone through during Senso's R&D is fear. We operated from a fear based standpoint, b'coz there's a new thing happening every sec... and so much changes in a sec. We used focus to counter against fear, we focused to our path. #InnovateSA #Senso
Envisioning how the future will look like (once the product dev is completed) is one of the most important ingredients that keeps the R&D team fired up with the motivation & persistence. Hardware related solutions demand lots of motivation & persistence. #InnovateSA #Senso
A device that’s accessible to the poorer of the poorest in need of sound assistive devices but aren’t accommodated by existing sound assistive devices. This is one of the biggest inspiration for us as we went through a countless number of prototyping stages. #InnovateSA #Senso
Senso developed a solution… A sound assistive wrist wearable device that picks up sounds, and communicates these sounds to the user through vibration and color coded LED light. #SENSO #InnovateSA
Behind the scenes are always beautiful.
This is what actually happens behind the scenes when Mxolisi Nodom (Thando) and Ayanda Nzimande (Aya) are shooting. #etvScandal
How it started VS How it's going... Disclaimer: since we aren't able to share a product ready to manufacture, a complete product yet, we're using the prototype reiteration we did in April 2019. We just couldn't resist this challenge🤟
GSM Association, an industry organization that represents mobile network operators worldwide ran a study on assistive devices in Africa and Asia. An honour for us being a part of this great body of work. Please view the study on the link below when you can.gsma.com/mobilefordevelopmen…
Greetings all, so, here is something we’d like to share... Neema Foundation runs this initiative every year during the month of September... To have fun while being a part of such a great cause. #DeafAwarenessMonth
Greetings everyone... In light of the #DeafAwarenessMonth Senso will be featured on the show called Beyond TV on SABC 2, Channel 192 for DSTV. The feature will run tomorrow at 13h00. This will be the first time ever we’ll be showing the complete and final Senso product on TV. 🤟🏽
We’ve just wrapped up a shoot with an SABC TV show... The crew gave a spotlight to the first prototype we ever produced in the Senso product development journey.🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽

Best part about my job @SensoZAR , it's when I have to match user stories and pain points with the best features that the team I work with can execute... This is one of the focus groups we conducted, many thanks to RedBull Amaphiko, now Further for helping us document this here.
