Underrated coaching truth:
The best coaches aren’t obsessed with talent.
They’re obsessed with effort.
With attitude.
With toughness.
Because when it gets hard,
that’s what still shows up.

Tulane Green Wave 2026 Spring Camp Positional Battles:
DEFENSE
Position Battles Will Heat Up as Spring Camp Opens March 9!
The Tulane Green Wave enter the 2026 season with sky-high expectations on defense, and a new head coach in Will Hall determined to keep the unit as the program’s identity. After leading the American Athletic Conference with 36 sacks and posting 15 interceptions in 2025, the Green Wave defense returns significant experience, added depth (especially in the secondary), and fresh schematic wrinkles under defensive coordinator Taylor Polk.
Spring practice kicks off March 9 with 14 sessions leading to the annual spring game in mid-to-late April. With few positions featuring “locked-in” starters, the defensive side of the ball features several intriguing battles for playing time, starting reps, and leadership roles.
Hall emphasized continuity with added aggression: a base three-man front that shifts to four in passing situations, more edge rushers, and match-route concepts in the secondary designed to “smother people.” From: @CCSdaily
Here’s a position-by-position breakdown of the key defensive battles to watch this spring.

Your mission completed. Rest easy, my best boy.
Yesterday, my once-in-a-lifetime dog crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Carlos passed in my arms, with me telling him I loved him and that he was a good boy — because he was the best boy. Our protector. My shadow. My heart with 4 legs.

We have been blessed with another Tim Scandurro piece on the @FTWMediaGroup website. Subscribe and check it out. Here is a snippet: "games aren’t played on paper. Football is a momentum-driven, emotional sport. On one sideline Saturday is a team with a new coach, a new play-caller, and the uncertainty that comes with new leadership facing a team they crushed not that long ago. On the other is a conference champion who won 11 games and beat two ranked opponents plus the ACC champion but have been told for two weeks they’re a fraud, they don’t belong on the same field as Ole Miss already proved, and they shouldn’t even be here. One team has a whole lot to lose; the other is playing with house money and has a whole lot to win."
I was with Tim yesterday at practice. He saw what I saw. Intensity and violence like we have not seen all season. Was palpable. Was real.
I have no idea if we will win but I believe that we will. I know that we have the capacity to compete with Ole Miss, the toughness and discipline to hold them back and the desire to win. I can tell you from my own experience that sometimes it simply comes down to who wants it more and who is willing to pay the price to win. @dorianw24 refused to let Caleb Williams out of the backfield on a make-or-break 3rd down play. @Mpratt_ willed himself to run through 2 defenders to get a crucial first down to save the winning drive. @NatorianWatts held on the ball after getting knocked out on a touchdown saving tackle by USC. @tyjae22 carried 3 players on his back every single play and refused to go down. @lah_pat94 was double teamed all day by their All-American OLINE- it didn't matter. He decided right then and right there to take control of the game and stuff their vaunted running back for a safety. And @abauman325 was never going to let that pass touch the ground. It didn't matter that he was playing against 5-star d-backs and future NFL players. He was going to win. He was willing to pay the price.
We have been here before. Counted out before the kick off. All the confetti and champagne is for them. That's OK. Like Tim says - games are not played on paper. We know who we are and I like our chances. See you Saturday. @FTWMediaGroup @GreenWaveFB @CFBPlayoff

“Violence matters in this sport.”
The X’s and O’s are important, but at the end of the day, violence is mandatory.
Brute strength, hard hitting, and physically dominating the opponent (between the whistles) is a “must have” to win championships in this game.

I have NEVER seen a patient cure their type 2 diabetes or hypertension with medication—because if they were truly cured, they wouldn’t need the meds anymore.
I HAVE seen many patients reverse type 2 diabetes and hypertension with diet and successfully come off their medications.
Real food isn’t just part of the solution—it IS the cure for metabolic disease.

If teenage athletes want to take a big step forward in development, it's wise to try to “out-sleep” and “out-eat” their peers. These two things are powerful "magnifiers" of everything they do in skill development and strength and conditioning.

American Attorney just spent a semester teaching at a public school, she can’t believe how bad our education system has gotten
“Only 9% of the entire $268 billion budget of the Department of Education actually goes to K-12”
“First and foremost, I loved the kids, but there are major problems within the school system. The administrators, the bureaucracy, the federal funding, and what I mean by that is in order to get some of this federal funding, you have to check off all of this criteria. And so it's just a game for the administrators and the establishment to try to money grab all of these different federal funds.”
She then describes how none of the money makes it to the teachers or students or where it’s needed
It’s all a money grab.
