Among the many benefits homosexuals (and bisexuals) bring society is break-down of gender stereotypes. All women and all men benefit when homosexuals push at the boundaries of the social expectations associated with their biological sex. Often because, unlike other forms of identity, our sexual preferences may not be detected as we often meander between the margins of masculine and feminine. We act as trailblazers for various modes of being within our biological sex. For example, the metrosexual straight male of the 1990s was pioneered by gay men and far more extensive advances for all women were pioneered by lesbians.
The opposite may be true. When biological sex is denied. When erstwhile homosexuals claim that our behaviours are indicia, not of the glorious variability and adaptation of the human spirit regardless of sexuality; but merely of category error – the error of being ‘born in the wrong body’ – and re-emergence of that homophobic sexologist term ‘sexual inversion’ – we narrow down the available modes of living for all members of our biological sex. We send an implicit (if not express) message to other homosexuals, especially the young, that they too have been ‘born in the wrong body’ – given their, likely, meandering between the gender norms – and to heterosexuals, (especially the young) that their own socially acceptable modes of living are more limited than perhaps they first thought.
If we love our heterosexual fellow travellers, and we must, then, let us rediscover what must be an inalienable truth: All men are masculine, by virtue of being men. All women are feminine, by virtue of being women. It is the behaviour in the biology that breaks down the gender norm. Masculinity and femininity do not yet, but must, as concepts, embrace the full range of human experience; so that G.I Joe and Barbie are as equally masculine as they are feminine. After all, G.I. Joe should be made to feel comfortable asking for help when he needs to; and Barbie should be made to feel comfortable solving her own problems when she needs to.
And so, a call to arms: let us homosexuals rediscover one of the many values we offer society. Let us be ourselves. Express ourselves in our natural ways that have always confounded the expectations of our biological sex, and in so doing, create new modes of living for all men and women.

Calling a man a woman is serious misinformation, for a conviction for false accusations of rape - it's actively harmful to the credibility of female complainants. Unclear if here it comes from police and/or prosecutors, or has been introduced by @Daily_Record headline writer./

Why didn’t you mention how homophobic Pride has become because of the ‘trans’ stuff?
Lesbians ejected from Cardiff Pride for holding a banner that lesbians don’t do d*ck, lesbians in France attacked with a flare for having a similar message, a gay man in Manchester being followed and harassed by an aggressive ‘queer’ mob for having an LGB Alliance hoodie, homosexuality being reframed to include those of the opposite se x ‘because gender identity’…

I studied in the academic department at Cambridge that later employed Jason Arday. Here's just some of the crap I learnt: For one module, I wrote a lengthy essay about how cultural products like kids’ cartoons and jazz songs serve as instruments of capitalist oppression. I got a top mark on that paper (despite knowing at the time that I was essentially regurgitating complete crap).
While studying for another paper I had a debate with the professor, an eminent anthropologist, because she insisted that native tribes could fly through the trees - not metaphorically, but that they could literally fly because they believed they could fly. After all, who are we to question ‘indigenous ways of knowing’...
For a different course, I read long ‘research papers’ which argued that the fact that black kids are excluded from schools more than white kids proves systemic racism exists in education. Crucially, they ignored the fact that white kids are excluded more than, e.g., Japanese kids, a statistic which, applying the exact same logic, would suggest that the education system is systemically biased in favour of, erm, Japanese kids (which obviously it isn’t).
Something that was held up as proof of the existence of this largely imaginary racism was that teachers tell kids not to use booming voices in the classroom, and not to put up their hoods or wear their trousers down below their pants.
On another occasion, my supervisor casually praised some students agitators who were trying to shut down a talk by someone they disagreed with. I said that I didn’t think this was something to celebrate, because I believed in freedom of speech. He got visibly angry, and proceeded to tell me that free speech was not worth protecting in a capitalist system (or something along those lines).
In my all-important final year, a lecturer let me know that I shouldn’t worry too much about my exam results, because as someone who was not from an upper class background I should be more focussed on using my grasp of leftist revolutionary theory to further the interests of the proletariat. Writing this down, it strikes me that it’s so hilariously mental that some of you will presumably assume I’m lying. But there’s no way I’m leaving it out, because it happened.
Unlike the academics who make a living from this stuff, I couldn’t bring myself to build a career pumping out whiney, divisive, intellectually incoherent rubbish. But others, as we’ve seen exposed in recent days, do so with gusto. And are lauded for it.
Please read the full piece this is taken from, and give it a share. I've linked it in the tweet below.

Interesting thing about social media is that you can also see how an international audience responds to a story, free from the narrow, self-reinforcing lens of Western media and activism.
This screenshot of the News Agents post is a perfect example. Look at the flood of laugh reacts. Every black person (or non-white person) I’ve encountered from outside the UK has reacted with the same mix of incredulity and amusement that Jason Arday is treated as an untouchable saint by the British left.
Minorities outside the West often possess straightforward cultural confidence that many Western ones lack. They're able to evaluate people like Jason Arday on competence and whether claims match reality, and not on racial symbolism or institutional utility. And they find the whole thing just laughably pathetic. Just read the comments!
They have absolutely no problem calling out the fraud because it does not threaten their identity. They have no ideological investment in protecting the narrative that every black academic must be treated as unassailable.
Meanwhile, figures in the UK such as Diane Abbott or Kehinde Andrews derive their status and moral authority from promoting racial grievance, so questioning Arday's elevation means admitting that “representation” can come at the expense of standards. In other words, their entire worldview would collapse. For people whose public identity and career incentives are built around the idea that the system is structurally stacked against them in every domain, recognizing the truth about Arday is too costly to maintain.
The whole world is just laughing at the British left.

No engagement with the arrant lies, the massive plagiarism, the airy public addresses. Kendi thinks all of that is okay if you're Black (and have dreadlocks) and that Arday was still a legitimate academic seized upon because of his color.
Kendi thinks Blackness exempts one from amassing data, drawing connections, and presenting novel insights. You're the real thing in just showing racism exists, despite that this is a rote exercise. We don't have to be actually smart, and in fact shouldn't (too "Western"). We are authentic in eternally "contesting."
That take is deep if you (have dreadlocks and) changed your name to Kendi.
Note that he seems not to have worked out at the Atlantic, and publishes this soapbox performance art somewhere you're a little surprised a public "intellectual" of his status would choose.
I wish Arday were alive. But this take on Arday as lynched is performance art. American academia should hesitate to embrace it.
The death of Jason Arday hit so close to home that I had no words yesterday. But I woke up with words.
To be a prominent antiracist Black scholar is to know you are a target, almost totally surrounded by resentments. You know that at any point, the attacks can come like a lynch mob.
And if you die from all the attacks, the media still calls the attacks on you “accusations” to wash their hands of the blood. Your lynchers announce your death as if they had no role in your lynching.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
To lynch means when an angry crowd or mob kills a person without a legal trial or lawful justice, usually by hanging them from a rope.
The tragic death of Jason Arday has been reported as a suicide following his resignation over allegations of plagiarism & data fraud.
