People ask me all the time, genuinely: “Doc, why are you so obsessed with Midnight? We already have Zcash and Monero…” And I honestly smile, because it shows we still have a lot of education to do in this space. Look, it’s not that those networks are bad. They just solve a different problem. @Zcash @monero give you privacy at the transaction level. You hide sender, receiver, amount. That’s great… for what they’re built for. But that’s NOT the kind of privacy we need for the next generation of real applications. What we wanted in Cardano —and yes, we actually built it— is something much bigger: Privacy for the logic, the data, and the processing inside DApps. Privacy at the protocol level. Privacy so professionals and real-world organizations can use Web3 without exposing sensitive information. That’s Midnight. It’s not about hiding transactions. It’s about enabling: — Clinicians to protect patient data — Companies to handle sensitive IP — AI apps to run without leaking their models — Financial apps to comply without revealing everything — Builders to create without sacrificing safety or confidentiality People think we want “secrecy.” No. What we want is digital dignity. @midnightfdn isn’t a privacy coin.
