arbitrum security council used 9-of-12 multisig to spoof L2 messages, freeze $72m in exploit funds, and move them without a single governance vote. now the DAO is retroactively approving it. 30,766 ETH going to aave, lido, etherfi, compound. not to the 112 users who got liquidated. not to rsETH holders eating a 13.6% haircut. protocols get made whole, individuals get a thank you note. may 7 vote closes and sets the precedent for every future L2 exploit response. if this passes with overwhelming support, you are accepting that 9 signers can inject arbitrary state transitions on arbitrum at any time. that's not FUD, that's literally what just happened. DeFi got its first bailout and the money went to the banks.
