🚨 Zlatan Ibrahimović on Gavi: “Gavi is a good player, but Barcelona keeps giving him chance after chance. Against Elche, he couldn’t control the midfield. Rough tackles aren’t enough. La Masia isn’t a guarantee. If Gavi isn’t delivering, Barça must consider a loan or sale.”

Same, I have my doubts. Can Romero really play alongside Cubarsi? I'd rather go for a left footed CB. Laporte would be the safest option, but negotiating with Athletic will be very difficult unless there's a reasonable buyout clause.

Good morning! ☀️ On today's edition of Intellectual Tweets, let's talk about something that sounds like it belongs in a science-fiction movie... What if your body could make alcohol without you drinking any It sounds ridiculous, but there's actually a rare condition called Auto-Brewery Syndrome, also known as gut fermentation syndrome. Basically, certain microorganisms in the gut can ferment the carbohydrates you eat and produce ethanol, the same type of alcohol found in alcoholic drinks. And if enough alcohol builds up, a person can actually feel drunk without having a drink. We're talking about things like: Dizziness Slurred speech Poor coordination Confusion Extreme tiredness Nausea Imagine eating a plate of rice and later feeling like you've had a few drinks So what's going on inside the body? Our gut naturally contains countless microorganisms, and tiny amounts of alcohol can sometimes be produced during fermentation. But in Auto-Brewery Syndrome, certain alcohol-producing microorganisms can become unusually abundant and produce much more ethanol than normal. Some documented cases have involved Saccharomyces cerevisiae, the yeast used in baking and brewing, as well as certain Candida species. Some cases have also involved bacteria such as Klebsiella pneumoniae. Researchers have found possible links with things like previous antibiotic use, gastrointestinal problems, changes to the gut, and diets high in carbohydrates. But having any of these doesn't mean you have Auto-Brewery Syndrome. It is extremely rare. And here's where it gets really serious. Some people with the condition have actually been accused of drinking when they hadn't. Imagine being told you're drunk when you've genuinely had no alcohol. There have even been documented cases involving problems at work and with the law. Diagnosis isn't as simple as taking one breathalyzer test. Doctors have to rule out other causes and may monitor blood or breath alcohol levels after a controlled carbohydrate challenge while also investigating the microorganisms in the gut. Treatment depends on the individual and what is causing the abnormal fermentation. It may involve changes to the diet, treating the microbial overgrowth, and sometimes antifungal or antibacterial medication. We're still learning about this condition because there aren't many documented cases. So yes Your gut can produce alcohol. But before you start blaming your stomach for that drink you had last night 😂 remember that Auto-Brewery Syndrome is very rare and requires proper medical evaluation. Imagine telling everyone, "I swear I didn't drink anything," while your gut is secretly running a brewery. – at Ikorudu, Nigeria

🚨 LAPORTE FOR LESS THAN €15M? THIS SHOULD BE A NO BRAINER 🤯 So Laporte really has a buyout clause of less than €15m? If that's true, Barcelona have to go for him. He's a quality left footed, ball playing centre back who already showed great chemistry with Cubarsi at the World Cup. He can still give Barca at least two seasons at the top level and could genuinely be our Inigo 2.0. For that price, we have to do it. 🔵🔴 Honestly, I wouldn't even mind Barcelona paying €35m to €40m if that's what it takes to get this deal done. Don't get me wrong, I like Cuti Romero, but I have doubts about pairing him with Cubarsi. They're both right footed, meaning one would have to play out of position, which could hurt us badly in buildup, especially against high pressing teams. Laporte and Cubarsi is already a proven partnership at the highest level. It simply makes much more sense. A safe bet!
» [Via @JijantesFC]

Barcelona fans got to see Ferran and Araujo go within 24 hours😭
🚨🔴🔵 BREAKING: Paris Saint-Germain have agreed all terms with Ferran Torres. Ferran informed Barcelona about his desire to join PSG project, as @marca @jijantesfc reported. Negotiations now starting between clubs over transfer fee. Barça, not forcing Ferran to stay.

You’re not wrong, but will you prefer we get a an experienced CB without getting a ST ? I think we should focus on getting a ST ahead of getting another CB outside
Replying to @SenatorProsper2
We need a veteran LCB,we need experience too

If we pull Rodri, I don’t expect to see a CB signing anymore. Coartes is enough. He is physically strong, left-footed, well-positioned and comfortable distributing the ball. He also had a very encouraging first-team debut against Alavés. He’s the reason Flick lost trust in Araujo

🚨 BARCELONA HAVE SAVED AROUND €44M IN FIXED GROSS WAGES SO FAR With Araujo leaving on loan to Liverpool, Barça have reduced their fixed gross wage bill by around €44m so far. That figure could rise to over €56m if Ferran Torres, Casado and Roony also leave soon. This should make things considerably easier from a salary space perspective, if Barça's plan is to add Rodri, Cancelo, a CB and a 9. Deco masterclass until now! According to Capology estimates, Barça’s fixed gross salaries have dropped from around €234.8m to roughly €191m. Changes so far: Adeyemi: +€12.5m Anthony Gordon: +€12m Lamine Yamal: +€4.1m (€16.7m → €20.8m) Lewandowski: -€20.8m Rashford: -€14m Araujo: -€12.5m Cancelo: -€8.7m Frenkie: -€6m (€19m → €13m) Ansu Fati: -€4.7m Christensen: -€3.8m (€9m → €5.2m) Iñaki Peña: -€2m Ter Stegen: -€1m (Ajax covering around 10%) The individual figures are rounded estimates, but overall Barça have cut approximately €44m from their fixed gross wage bill. With Ferran, Casadó and Roony potentially leaving, the savings could exceed €56m. All figures are estimated fixed gross salaries according to Capology. I honestly have no idea how much salary limit Barça actually have available this summer, but things are looking good from this perspective. Of course, amortization calculations could make things look different depending on the transfer fees Barça have to pay for Rodri, Cancelo, a CB and a No. 9. Let’s see...

If Araujo wins the Premier League before Bruno, I go too cook 😂
I don't know how much the buy clause in Araujo's loan is, but I think it's going to be higher than what anyone would be willing to pay for him this summer. Araujo's stock is currently at its lowest, so yeah, I actually think loaning him out was a smart move. If he has a good season elsewhere, he can rebuild his value and we can hopefully sell him for a decent fee afterwards. And what makes the deal even better is that the biggest downside of a loan is usually having to keep paying a significant part of the player's salary. But Liverpool are covering 100% of his wages. What a masterclass from Deco, perfect business.

Lol.. Liverpool fans should actually not panic in anyway, Araujo will be a better pair to Virgil than Konate was. To Barcelona, it means more space for us which implies that Rodri is coming and we are making a pathway for that Liverpool fans, he can play false line too o 😂😂
Liverpool fans when Araujo gets a red card in a champions league knockout game and gets them knocked out
