🚨 New research from @WHOI confirms what we’ve been saying all along: any wastewater discharged from the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station poses a threat to our coastal communities.
Since day 1, I’ve made it a top priority to hold Holtec accountable. We won’t allow corporate interests to put #CapeCod’s fishing, tourism, and aquaculture at risk. This is our home, and we’re in this fight to protect it for generations to come.

This decision validates what common sense has told us: Discharging radioactive water into #capecodbay is dangerous for our residents, our oceanic ecosystems, and our local economy.
This has been a collaborative effort between our federal and state delegations, local advocates, and @MassGovernor. We need to keep the pressure on Holtec, holding them accountable to prevent corporate greed from taking priority over the people of Cape Cod and the South Shore.
We've never been closer to making this a reality, and I am confident that with the continued dedication of our federal/state partners, we will see the full replacement of both the Sagamore and Bourne bridges, securing a brighter future for all residents and visitors of #CapeCod.
