Indiana remains just one of 13 states without any form of legal cannabis. Tomorrow, we start a golden opportunity to change that with the first Interim Study Committee on Cannabis. I will be fighting for us to join those other 37 states with modernized cannabis laws.

It cannot be our state’s policy to empower mega-corporations to bully working families, and this bill will provide a clearly needed layer of protection for the working families who power our state. 🔗Read the full statement here: tinyurl.com/5n77bmc7 #INForAll (5/5)

🚨 ICYMI: BP is trying to claw back unemployment benefits from locked-out workers 🚨 Friends, it is unconscionable that a $100 billion corporation is resorting to these shady business practices at the expense of our Hoosier families. (1/5)

I joined my caucus in condemning this blatant example of corporate bullying and calling on Governor Braun to step in and stand up for Hoosier workers. But we can’t stop there. ⬇️ (3/5)

No person should have to fear losing their car or their home because of an injury they got while trying to make a living. I hope that this session we make that promise closer to a reality. #INForAll

And though we have seen an annual 3% increase for the last four years, that increase was doing double duty; trying to make up for lost time and keep up with inflation, barely able to do either.

In Northwest Indiana, our electric bills have risen over 90% in the last decade, leaving working families with difficult choices when trying to make ends meet. At the same time, when our Region needed it most, the reliability we’ve been told we were investing in was not there.

I have heard from so many families in our community about their concerns and frustrations with NIPSCO, not just in the last month, but for years. This is a chance to voice those concerns to your statehouse representatives as we work to draft legislation for the upcoming session.
