From grain and fertilizer to feed and lumber, rail is the backbone of rural America. When there’s a rail monopoly, our farmers and small towns become captive customers. I signed the GOP leaders’ letter to the STB because this mega merger is bad news for the Heartland and will radiate out the pain to Montana Ag producers.
A big thanks to our US Navy for the tour of an aircraft carrier! (Same one they filmed Top Gun Maverick)What an amazing ship and what tremendous people that make it work! Any young Montanans thinking about the military route, take a look Navy.
I did get to sit in the captain’s chair and bark orders but just like the legislature no one seemed to notice:)
I was happy to stand in support of educational freedom today and meet so many of our bright Montana students.
Senators @SenMattRegier, Sue Vinton, and many more Republican legislators joined students and parents today to rally for more education freedom in Montana during School Choice Week.
Last week I had the opportunity to sit down with the Japanese Consul General to discuss Montana’s diplomatic relationship with Japan followed by a meeting with some of our great Air Force officials discussing the Sentinel nuclear modernization program.

Our favorite part of Gov. Gianforte's State of the State address?
When he called out our partisan Supreme Court justices to their faces.
Sen. Daniel Emrich's SB 42 to make judges and justices transparently declare their partisan affiliations has its first hearing tomorrow.
The Montana Supreme Court has turned the courtroom into a legislative policy committee, drastically overstepping its constitutional boundaries into the Legislature’s role and violating the separation of powers. Montanans will continue to suffer decades of economic and social harm if we don’t turn our activist and overreaching courts around.
The Montana Supreme Court overstepped its constitutional boundaries today in its ruling on the Held v. Montana case.
Judicial reform was already a top priority for Republican lawmakers in our legislative session that starts in less than three weeks. After today, our message to the judiciary is simply this: buckle up.
As legislators busily prepare for another very important and hectic legislative session, I think it's important for us all to pause and remember the true meaning of this season.
Merry Christmas to all!
The people of Montana expect integrity from our judges, not retaliation. AG Knudsen has my full support in this fight.

Such partisan, hateful and uncompassionate views from a former Montana judge indicate a deep and consuming bias that permeates the minutest aspects of one’s life. The reality is that Nelson was not an impartial judge.

Are you or anyone in the Montana media going to ask Tester why he flipflopped on Biden? He told us Biden was "100% with it" now he says Biden quitting is the best thing for country? Does he just get a free pass on everything?
