North Carolina families and farmers are feeling the impacts of rising fuel costs every day. They need real relief and they need it now.

North Carolina’s farmers have been feeling the squeeze of tariffs, drought, crop loss, and skyrocketing fuel prices. Today we’re taking action to ease the burden.
I’m directing @NCDOR to provide relief from the state’s dyed diesel penalty through the end of the year. Many farmers already have these types of fuel on hand, and suspending enforcement of the prohibition on using this fuel on the road will lower costs for farmers during their most fuel-intensive time of the year. This action will also help reduce the upward pressure on food costs.
I urge the federal government to join me in providing the same relief to North Carolina farmers and families.
