Today we honor and remember NCPD Lt.
William (Billy) Erdmann who died by suicide on 10/7/19. Erdmann a 32 year veteran, was a member of the NYPD.
LT William Erdmann we thank you for your 32 years of service and dedication to both the City of NY & The Nassau County Police Department.. Your name and memory will forever live on through us, your family and your fellow brothers and sisters in blue.
Once again we must remember that It is not how he died that matters, rather how he lived"... 32 years of service, he gave his life for the job...We need to break the stigma surrounding Suicide and mental health in law enforcement. No one should feel their life is not worth living anyone.

Dominic Zvada and Jordan Stout deserve a TON of credit for this 3–1 Giants start. Having a kicker and punter you can actually trust makes such a difference.
Zvada is 9-for-9 on field goals and 5-for-5 on extra points through four games. He’s already 3-for-3 from 50-plus. The rookie accounted for ALL 12 points against Tennessee, then followed it up with makes from 39, 50 and 52 yards against Arizona.
That last 52-yarder pushed the lead to six. Arizona needed a touchdown on its final possession. A field goal wasn’t going to save them. That’s a HUGE kick.
Stout has been doing his part, too: 50.6 yards per punt, 44.2 net, nine of his 16 punts inside the 20 and just one touchback. Distance matters, but consistently making teams start backed up is where you really help your defense.
Sunday gave us a perfect example. Stout hit a 47-yard punt that Nic Jones downed at Arizona’s 3. The defense forced a punt, the Giants got the ball back at midfield, and that possession ended with Zvada’s 52-yarder.
Give Jones and the coverage unit their credit there, too. That entire sequence helped close out a one-score game.
Four games is still a small sample, but they’ve already helped win games while giving the Giants something we haven’t always been able to take for granted: consistency on special teams.
Love what we’re getting from these guys.

Giants' DC Dennard Wilson on CB Deonte Banks and how Banks attributes his career turnaround to coaching:
"You can't ask for the hand until you touch the heart."
Great stuff here from the young defensive coordinator.

The hockey community is mourning the loss of Riley Vander Esch, who passed away at just 21 years old after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
A Sioux Falls, South Dakota native, Riley was preparing for her senior season as a goaltender with Saint Mary’s University. She was also studying Sports Management and Accounting and had previously helped the Sioux Falls Flyers capture a state championship in 2022.
Those who knew Riley remember far more than the athlete. She was a teammate, student, daughter, friend and an important part of every community she represented.
Our deepest condolences go out to Riley’s family, friends, teammates and everyone at Saint Mary’s and in Sioux Falls during this incredibly difficult time.
The Vander Esch family has encouraged anyone wishing to honor Riley to support the organizations and programs that meant so much to her.
Sticks out for Riley. 🏒❤️

These illegal aliens from the Dominican Republic are suspects in the stabbing and attempted robbery of an off-duty NYPD detective.
Both of these suspects were RELEASED into the country by the Biden Administration, and despite multiple prior arrests in New York, sanctuary politicians refused to cooperate with ICE and released them.
These suspects remain at-large.
@DHSgov is calling on New York authorities to cooperate with us so we can get these dangerous criminals off our streets.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the detective for a speedy recovery.
#EXCLUSIVE: Two Dominican nationals who entered the U.S. illegally near San Luis, Arizona, and were released under the previous administration are wanted in the Oct. 2nd stabbing of an off-duty NYPD officer in the Bronx, according to the NYPD @DHSgov.
• D’Angelo Caraballo, 25: Border Patrol encountered him near San Luis on Feb. 3, 2023, after an attempted unauthorized entry. He was released that same day on his own recognizance pending immigration proceedings.
He has five prior arrests involving charges including fleeing police, drug possession, possession of a loaded firearm and menacing with a weapon. ICE did not lodge detainers because he had been released from custody before ICE identified the encounters. He remains in immigration proceedings.
• Sneider Mejia Bautista, 24: Border Patrol encountered him near San Luis on Dec. 2, 2022, after an attempted unauthorized entry with his family. He was paroled into the U.S. that same day. An immigration judge ordered him removed in May 2025 after he failed to appear.
He has three prior arrests, including charges involving stolen property, burglar’s tools, grand larceny and weapon possession. ICE lodged a detainer with Bronx Central Booking in October 2025, but the agency declined it.

Both of these suspects were RELEASED into the country by the Biden Administration, and despite multiple prior arrests in New York, sanctuary politicians refused to cooperate with ICE and released them. This horrific crime could have been prevented if it weren’t for Biden’s open borders and the America Last policies of New York sanctuary politicians. These suspects remain at-large. NYPD confirmed both men are suspects in the stabbing and are at large.
