There goes the 2M concurrent player mark for Black Myth: Wukong. For a game sitting at just 82 metacritic, this is one hell of an achievement. Just for rough comparison, Elden Ring had around 1M peak concurrent players around launch.

And this is a Tuesday launch. If the game was released on weekend (Friday), I am sure that this number would have been higher.

Wukong has also become the best single-player game of all time on Steam. And with such a massive success, those numbers are going to increase as more players will be inclined to try this.

Black Myth: Wukong has just passed Counter-Strike's all-time peak record with more than 1.8 million concurrent players. It's just day one of its release, but it has already become only the third game to beat Counter-Strike’s all-time peak on Steam theverge.com/2024/8/20/24224…

Black Myth: Wukong is currently the most played game on Steam and has already passed the all-time peaks of Elden Ring, Dota 2, and Cyberpunk 2077

Way too many ppl are treating Palworld like now it has sold millions of copies the devs should INSTANTLY fix EVERYTHING. It's *aggressively* early access. Frame your feedback as appropriate, and maybe have some kindness for the small team building it? Kindness is free.

After a few hours of Lords of the Fallen, I thought whether it's better to play this one or start another Elden Ring playthrough (or maybe Dark Souls). Whether the game is good or bad will depend largely on your expectations. #LordsOfTheFallen

If you just want to compare, it will definitely fall short; however, if you want another souls-like experience, it will serve its purpose. The game is continuously being updated, so the performance voes will be solved soon.
