When he sees an old friend arguing with his son, it makes him feel more normal when he argues with Kovu about things. Just a little bit.

He may have only just woken up, but he’s going back to bed.

He might be trying out to get back onto a quidditch team. Not sure the teaching assistant is working out so well.
