Not going to dignify the president’s juvenile social media post about our brilliant @kaitlancollins except to say she and we are going to keep doing our jobs, which is to ask and cover the questions voters care about — like those about the war in Iran and the economy. 🇺🇸 💪

Here's your feelgood moment of the month...
Aging nepo baby Anderson Cooper quit his job at '60 Minutes' because he didn't want to work for David Ellison and Bari Weiss.
David Ellison just bought CNN through the Warner deal and plans to put Bari Weiss in charge of CNN...

Here’s something revealing I found while investigating the Office of the Attending Physician.
Congress created this operation in 1928 after medical emergencies, initially requesting one Navy physician to be available during House sessions.
Today, it has grown to nearly 50 people with 24-hour availability, and Admiral Brian Monahan himself testified that OAP “principally provides primary care.” Primary care.
The House’s FY2027 proposal would provide nearly $5.5 million for this office.
So why are taxpayers spending millions to provide Congress with around-the-clock primary care when Members already have health insurance and access to Walter Reed?
And why are active-duty Navy medical personnel being used to provide it?
That’s what I’m investigating.

If you read Jefferson's Notes on Virginia and Hamilton's Discourse on Manufacturing, you learn that they both agreed that our nation would not survive being swamped by foreigners with no allegiance to our government.
Cato now considers this to be "right wing socialism."

I will be voting for Republicans I don’t particularly like in November.
Many Republicans WANT to be in the minority, so they can pretend to oppose the bills they actually support as they pass.
I’m not providing them that cover.
The time for protest votes is the primaries.
Know that there is a form available to recapture your gas tax by entering data from receipts. September 30 is last date to submit 7/1/2025 - 6/30/2026.
Now would be a good time for @GovMikeKehoe to suspend the gas tax.
Sir if you dont understand how betrayed so many folks as Republicians feel then you are out of touch.
You voted for the tax- now you can suspend it to provide relief to many Missourians.
Suspend the gas tax. Please.

This is a call to action. Terrorist movements often do it when trying to inspire “lone wolf” (ie therefore deniable) operations.

We polled five routes for Trump to leave office before the end of his term. A plurality of Dems support four of them, including a military coup and death by natural causes. The only one underwater, an assassination, is still supported by 29%.
The path to get rid of the Missouri Plan begins with impeachment. No more incumbents soft launched by the bar.

A federal appeals court on Monday ordered Missouri to reinstate its GOP-favored Congressional map after the Supreme Court blocked the new map.
The Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals said Missouri’s current plan to use the old map for this year’s midterms violates the Constitution.

ICYMI - lost in the latest turn in the MO redistricting madness was that the 8th Circuit pointed out how ridiculous the contempt order from the MO Supreme Court against MO Secretary of State Hoskins was when it wrote:
"The Court trusts that the Missouri Supreme Court will respect this Court's decision under the Supremacy Clause.”

The 8th Circuit opinion is a methodical and well reasoned one. I can’t say what SCOTUS will do but CA8 gave them a lot to think about. And I wouldn’t operate off the presumption that the prior stay automatically precludes relief here as SCOTUS was deciding the last case stay and did not have the benefit of CA8 weighing in with a full opinion. Either way, we will find out soon as SCOTUS has less than a week to intervene before the new injunction takes effect.
