Market uses whatever news du jour for ↑ or ↓ as needed/wanted. may be extended time-frame, may be options fckry, sector rotation and more. I don't short & don't do options but use ETFs. For scalp/DT several ETFs, (leverage/inverse alternating), i use SPY 30min chart & stochastics. some may not believe how many have exact same chart & follow SPY's. after last nite's ramp, they reached 96 so another pb cycle is required at some point in there no matter the 'news' of the moment. Sometimes they'll drag it out for hours scraping the upper or lower level, but eventually it still has to correct itself of over-heated shorter TFs for healthy continuation. Now they've already just tapped the three's @ 764/5 stair-step

Keep an eye on $NEXR down here for a similar day like $FRTT just had or more. they bleed these things down hard on no volume, HF/MM quietly accumulate shares and then flick on buy-algo w/huge range & liquidity, but you must exit along with the big boys.
