This is an excellent assessment of just one of many elements of the gun controllers' propaganda.
The dishonesty on display with the GVA figure is staggering. Their "mass shooting" tracker simply does not track mass shootings as the public understands that term. If they wanted to call their listing "any incident where multiple people were shot", that'd be fine, because that is what they are actually tracking, not mass shootings.
The term "mass shooting" has a very specific connotation, and GVA abuses that to try and trick people into thinking we have had over 400 Monterey Parks this year, or what have you.
Take, for example, the most recent entry in GVA's log:
The Lafayette [Louisiana] Police Department responded to the 100 block of S. General Marshall St. Lafayette, LA 70501, in reference to a fight in progress.
Upon arrival responding Officers located a residence in the area of which the dispatched call had originated. As Officers made contact with the believed parties involved in the altercation, Officers were engaged in gunfire by the suspect. The suspect was able to fire gunshots upon and strike two uniformed LPD Officers. As a result of the suspect actively shooting and injuring two LPD Officers, an additional responding Officer was forced to engage the suspect by returning gunfire. It was later determined that three additional victims were struck by gunfire during the shooting incident.
This is a terrible occurrence, but it's just not the same thing as some lunatic trying to wipe out everyone in a grocery store or school for no reason. Stop trying to mislead people into siding with you.
They can't be more honest of course, because if they were, they'd have to call so many of these incidents gang-related violence, predominantly in failed cities run by their favored party no less. That is far less compelling an argument for gun control than tricking people into thinking there is a Uvalde every day.
Major news media should not uncritically repeat the "mass shooting" tally of GVA without being clear to its audience what the precise definition is, and how it is very different than the popular understanding of what constitutes a mass shooting.

All of this. Every single Palestinian death is on the heads of Hamas. It didn’t have to be this way, but Hamas had to attack and murder, rape, and dismember Israeli civilians on October 7th and take hostages that they, starved, tortured and murdered. War is hell. They brought hell to their own people. If they had pulled an October 7th in the US and then refused to turn over the hostages safely and unharmed, I would expect we would have done worse. Mass Public Shooting stopped by an armed civilian.
An uninvited masked man approached a fraternity event at Atlanta’s Coan Park and started an argument. When attendees tried to de-escalate, he opened fire, killing one man and injuring two others, before being fatally shot by armed individuals with concealed carry permits.

ICE agents walked into Meriden Superior Court in Connecticut on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026 and detained an illegal alien on a Warrant of Removal/Deportation after a final order from an immigration judge. Judicial Marshal Services confirmed they received that warrant before the arrest.
Rabid Responders swarmed the exit, screaming Trust Act and mask bans while federal officers tried to leave with their target. Connecticut’s courthouse rules (HB 8004) say agents need a judicial warrant inside state courts and generally can’t wear face coverings on the grounds, and the Justice Department has already sued the state arguing those limits are unconstitutional.
Karen still decided to play hockey check with police. Madeline Gallagher, a Meriden-area rapid-response volunteer, crowded the path and got shoved back by courthouse security. She went straight on her back, night-night, and left by ambulance. Another activist, Nancy Burton, says an agent pepper-sprayed her on the way out.
Deportation Data Project figures show about 32 on-the-ground ICE arrests in Meriden alone through early August 2026, with roughly 455 at-large arrests statewide this year after 764 in 2025 and 205 in 2024. Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, a final removal order means the illegal alien is already ordered out. Blocking the officers only delays the van.
I hope Karen had sweet dreams of ICE deporting all of her lawn-care and renovation labor.

Another illegal in custody, not deported and then was able to kill Mauricio. Look at how many of the 1,483 preventable deaths I have posted were committed by someone that was previously in custody, arrested, convicted, or deported and then was able to kill someone. It happens more often than you think.

A foreign-born federal judge who reportedly never renounced her foreign citizenship blocked the federal government from verifying voter citizenship data.
Judge Sparkle Sooknanan made a promise under oath. She pledged to renounce her Trinidad and Tobago citizenship to fulfill her duties. Recent reports suggest she never did. She took the bench anyway.
We introduced legislation to close this gap for GOOD.
