Brendon Nugent had about 600 followers as of yesterday, including Helen Haines and Greens leader David Shoebridge If the government do not come out and clearly condemn left wing violent extremism immediately, we have a problem This guy was a pro Gaza supporter. Palestine Action must also be designated a Hate Group Every time the government and authorities look the other way, the violent left are being emboldened

Snowy 2.0 was sold as a $2bn “nation-building” battery finished by 2021. The cost has jumped from an original $2 billion estimate, to around $6 billion, then to a $12 billion “reset” in 2023. By early 2026 they had already spent about $11 billion, and officials have admitted the $12 billion target won’t be met. Expected direct construction costs are above $20 billion, and as high as $40 billion once interest and the required transmission lines are included. A 10–20× blowout. The original 2021 target is long gone. Still officially aiming for end-2028, but the CEO has said they’re not comfortable with it. If nuclear is “too expensive and too slow,” what do you call a project that has already consumed most of its revised budget, is years late, keeps finding new problems, permanently scars a national park, and still isn’t delivering firm power and only shifting energy around? Taxpayers are the clear losers, locked into an ever-rising bill with no easy exit, while contractors, consultants, and political backers have extracted massive gains along the way.

BREAKING: President Trump reveals his new anti-fraud program set up to reward people who expose fraud with a 1% commission on the money uncovered. "If you turn somebody in and you, let's say report and you find $1 billion, we are giving a commission to that person of 1%."

Yep. This. Exactly this. I do a bit of audit work here and there. I can assure you one of these easiest, most efficient and most economic methods for reducing fraud is the pervasive threat that 'someone may sing' @DrCameronMurray I was at your talk on sunday. This is an effective foil against the game of mates (only when illegality is concerned however) I'd like to see temporary migrants who are employed in the 'grey areas' be offered this incentive. It's offensive Aus businesses should be forced to close because only they complied with employment law, tax laws, etc

Now this will give @OneNationAus more brownie points. Transparency within Government. It’s about bloody time! Taxpayers aren’t ATMs with no right to ask questions. Every dollar spent belongs to the people who earned it, not the politicians who spend it.
It’s going down I’m yelling timber

VICTORIAN PREMIER REFUSES TO CUT FUNDING TO MOSQUE LEADER WHO SAID MEN CAN “BEAT” THEIR WIVES AND RAPE ISN’T RAPE Ben Carroll called Samir Mohtadi’s comments “completely disgusting and vile” then refused to rule out more taxpayer cash for his MyCentre mosque. The Victorian government has already promised MyCentre over $600,000. What Mohtadi actually said in a lecture titled “The Keys to a Successful Marriage” - Men can “beat” their wives as a “last resort” to “shape them up” just don’t bruise or draw blood. - “How can a person rape his wife?” - Wives must drop everything, even cooking, if their husband wants sex. - Disobey your husband and “you will go to hell” - Wives should wear perfume and keep the house “nice and clean” This is the same imam linked by UAE authorities to the accused Flydubai pilot who allegedly planned to crash a jet into Israel’s Ben Gurion airport. The pilot reportedly claimed his radicalisation began in Melbourne. Multiple Labor MPs still pose for photos with him. Carroll’s response? Condemn the words, protect the funding, and accuse Opposition Leader Jess Wilson of being “loose with the truth” for saying she’ll stop the money. MyCentre is also pushing to build a new mosque and schools in Mickleham. Victorian taxpayers are funding all of it.

Has mendicancy killed Australia? It's now emerging that Brendan Nugent was on a disability support pension for a considerable time. Yet not only did he complain about the difficulty in obtaining this pension, he then railed against the system making it difficult to wean one's self off this welfare. Read that again: society's fault he couldn't get sit down money. Society's fault he wouldn't go back to work. I've known a few grubs like this over the years.... Always quick to claim chronic fatigue, but never short of adrenaline when a protest came to town. Always ready to bemoan 'the rich', but eager to extract as much money from the system as was possible. Its my observation that the proudest Aussies are the ones whose contributions are oversized. They pay huge tax bills. Additional imposts as the cost of business. They struggle on and work hard, yet genuinely love their country. Which contrasts greatly with those who seek perpetually subsidised uni degrees of little economic worth, spending their days protesting about climate, gaza, first persons or whatever is the outrage de jour. We seem to be approaching that moment when we need to have a serious conversation about *forcing* people back to work. Reduce immigration Incentivise employment of hard core unemployed, youth, first persons, elderly, etc

And there it is, as predicted, @AlboMP shamelessly exploiting the attack on Helen Haines to pimp his so called ‘digital duty of care’ censorship legislation. The nuance here by the way is that you’re a lying invertebrate scumbag who has single handedly poisoned the Australian body politic and yes I’d happily say that to your face you weasel.
