This is a fucking joke.
Like I've been kinda wary about DSA-LA but this would make me lose respect for DSA National.
I am anti-Zionist. Things she has said have disappointed me.
But she is not running for a national position. Fuck your fucking purity tests @DemSocialists

It may seem impossible, but another Major Hurricane (yes, actually) is set to form in the East Pacific and threaten the coast of Mexico.
What’s concerning about this next storm (whom will be named VANCE) is that he is forming to the south of the cold wakes stirred up by Hurricanes Polo, Rachel, Simon, and Trudy.
This could allow for very rapid intensification over untapped waters before a potential recurve into Mexico. Weakening would be likely in any sort of landfall scenario, and it’s still very early to know anything for sure, but this future storm appears to be one that needs to be watched closely.

What does Chevron want in return?
I haven’t seen Chevron donate in a mayoral IE before except 2022 (also to Bass). Maybe it explains this:
NEW: Chevron just gave $50,000 to support LA Mayor Karen Bass — and defeat Nithya Raman.
"They view Karen Bass as someone who they can work with, someone who will protect their interests in L.A. And they view Nithya Raman as a threat to fossil fuels." climatecoloredgoggles.com/p/…

Over 100 environmental leaders have signed an open letter denouncing Chevron’s support for Karen Bass and condemning Big Oil’s attempt to influence Los Angeles elections.
It’s no surprise that one of the biggest polluters in LA County is supporting my opponent. Every local environmental organization has endorsed my campaign. As mayor, I’ll focus on climate resilience and emergency preparedness, expand park space, plant 100,000 trees before the Olympics, ban oil drilling within City limits, reduce dependence on imported water, and improve air quality.

Here we go...
It's far, far too early to verify the current winter forecast, but for what it's worth, the AI-ECMWF model has SoCal & the desert Southwest as the wettest spot in the U.S. over the next two weeks.
El Niño's influence is ramping up. Big year ahead in CA.
Channeling Mike Trujillo energy: Bass solicits behested payment from the oil industry!?!
I've spent my career fighting the oil industry, from helping South LA communities organize against neighborhood oil wells to banning oil drilling in LA as mayor. So I was surprised to learn that an oil company donated to an outside committee that I am legally barred from coordinating with or soliciting funds for. They should take the money back and use it to lower the astronomical prices Angelenos pay at the pump.

this kind of shit is why nobody takes the DSA seriously as a party – at Los Angeles, CA
I have always voted with and personally affiliated myself with @DemSocialists, politically.
If they do this, we need to create a different fucking political party.
That's a lot of fires up and down the coast
Not a weather person, but I wouldn't be surprised if this because of the drier weather caused by El Niño.

I did the brave thing and wrote about how despite the borderline concern-trolling discourse, the team coming off a 100-win season and has just a rental ace, utility guys, and relievers as free agents probably isn't completely doomed. #Courage dodgersdigest.com/2026/10/17…
