I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have served as the 78th Secretary of the @USTreasury. It has been one of the greatest honors of my career to work alongside such dedicated public servants who paired intellectual rigor with moral purpose.
And we rebuilt our alliances around the world to support Ukraine’s resistance against Russia’s illegal war, responsibly manage our economic relationship with China, strengthen the multilateral development banks, and end the race to the bottom in corporate taxes.
At @USTreasury and throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with utterly remarkable colleagues to try to make our country and our world a better place. Thank you for the opportunity to serve.
We strengthened the resilience of the U.S. financial system while navigating a regional banking crisis, as well as two debt limit impasses, and we modernized the @IRSNews to make our tax system fairer and more responsive.
We led an historic economic recovery from the pandemic and ensured that record clean energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing investments reached people and places that had been long overlooked.
Under President Biden’s leadership over the past four years, @USTreasury tackled an array of hard issues head-on, driving historic economic progress that will continue to benefit people at home and around the world for years to come.
Every day, @USTreasury’s talented and dedicated civil servants make decisions that affect the lives of millions of Americans and billions globally. Each of them approaches this work with the respect and reverence it requires. They are a national treasure.
