The precedent they’re setting by this is actually dangerous to the game. How some people actually back the City ownership after this is very worrying
BREAKING: The UAE is warning British Prime Minister Andy Burnham it will pull billions of pounds of investment the Government was seeking for a hi-tech hub between Oxford and Cambridge, billed as the UK’s answer to Silicon Valley, in retaliation for the guilty verdict against #ManCity.

Fair play @mancity_talk
How you bother dealing with some of these people needs commending🙏 and kudos to you too @Hazz_MCFC
Football is our greatest love. And the fact you defend it from your greedy owners is respectable❤️
Honestly though, if City gets away with just a fine because the UK govt. are afraid of losing UAE-investment, we need a fundemental revamp and boycott of the PL.
This just can’t happen, or else the game we all love and hold so dear will truly lose it’s magic.
I think tonight we can all see where this is actually going.
Manchester City’s owners will probably agree to extra investment in Manchester and the UK in exchange for a minor points deduction and a fine.
City will start the 2027/28 season as if nothing has happened and probably win the league after spending another half billion in the summer.
And I for one will never consider the Premier League fit for purpose from that moment on.

Manchester City owners’ damaging strategy of appeal, deny and delay will inflict untold damage on countless people. It will inflict damage on this season’s Premier League which is effectively on hold with an unpunished City still involved. It inflicts further damage on the reputation of the world’s most popular sports league. It casts a cloud over the league for seasons to come, for as long as they drag the sport through the courts which they could do.
City owners’ refusal to accept responsibility in the face of overwhelming evidence against them further hardens anger towards the club. The strategy inflicts further damage on a 146-year-old club whose reputation was made by the honest endeavour and thrilling football of that outstanding team of the late 60s and 70s. The actions of City’s current owners risk trashing a historic club’s reputation.
Appeal, deny, delay inflicts further turmoil on the lives of their supporters. City fans’ innate defiance may waver when getting called cheat relentlessly. City fans didn’t cheat. Their club owners did with “sham contracts”, according to the findings of a long, forensic review by an independent commission. But it is City fans facing the consequences of their owners’ book-cookery – in the stands, on the streets, at work. A storm of scorn.
Do City owners also not think of their head coach, Enzo Maresca, and how every press conference will be an inquisition? Every player interview? Every arrival at an away stadium?
Do they not think of all the vital work done by City in the Community, the club’s charitable wing currently trying to celebrate 40 years of helping disadvantaged local people, and how their conduct impacts that?
Appeal, deny, delay damages Abu Dhabi’s own reputation. Do they actually care about football? About pressure on innocent, hard-working staff? About integrity? City’s owners have done plenty of good in East Manchester but that work now seems tainted.
Do they not care about the millions of people in this country who love football. Some may now, because of sham contracts and appeal, deny, delay, simply turn away from the national sport?
Do the owners worry about the UAE’s image? The behaviour of City’s owners is now a diplomatic issue between the UK and the UAE. And good luck to our new ambassador to the UAE, Geraldine McCafferty, who took up the position last month and will need all her diplomatic skills acquired in Sarajevo, Bogota and Beijing.
If they had a shred of responsibility, City owners would call off the lawyers, accept the independent commission’s findings, take the punishment and seek some settlement with the Premier League over compensation to other clubs. Appeal, deny, delay helps nobody.
Short summary:
"We’ve been sportswashing and funnelling money through illegitimate sponsorship deals for an entire decade. But we’ve also invested into the city, so the £900m we’ve gained by scamming isn’t that bad really init”.

Supported elite and community sport by making facilities available to athletes and sporting organisations.
-Invested in environmental improvements, biodiversity and green-space projects around the Etihad Campus.
-Donated surplus equipment and furniture from the club to community organisations in Manchester.
-And perhaps one of the most symbolic acts: Sheikh Mansour bought the 1904 FA Cup — Manchester City’s first FA Cup and the oldest surviving FA Cup trophy — at auction and arranged for it to remain on display at the National Football Museum in Manchester.
The overall result has been a transformation of the Etihad area into a major hub combining football, education, health, entertainment, employment and community facilities.
Imagine reading this as an Everton, Newcastle or Villa-fan…

my brother in christ you are the cartel.
Siege mentality needed from Enzo Maresca and our players after the international break.
For years, clubs like City, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Everton have argued that financial rules restrict their ability to invest and grow, while protecting the cartel.
Whatever happens off the pitch, answer it on the pitch. Us against the noise.
🚨 BREAKING: Liverpool have DOUBTS about Xabi Alonso, so they directly CALLED Real Madrid to ask their opinion and what happened with him in Madrid. @diarioas
Ekitike chose Liverpool, Barcola explicitly told other clubs he wasn’t moving to them because of Liverpool and Jacquet chose us over Chelsea, despite them leading negotiations for a long period of time.
Why should they now all of a sudden be "Arsenal players" Harvey?😂
