Downland Villa and Hornet Robberfly from Swift's Hill in Gloucestershire yesterday #invertebrates
Here's the reporting rate from Kent moths website - suggests a slow down, though the drop off last year might be record uploads not complete?
This Watsonalla sp. was trapped in my VC34 garden on 07.10.23, and seems to show features of Spiny Hook-tip W. uncinula. Any views welcome @PhilSterling3 @dgcountryside
A huge garden catch last night, 478 of 116 species, including two new for garden macros: Bird's Wing and Dog's Tooth. August Thorn and Four-spotted Footman also nice to see. VC34. #moths

A memorable day of #moths in June 2022, starting with Silky Wave in the Avon gorge and ending with new-for- S-Wales Dotted Fan-foot at Magor Marsh with @gmtord, after a tortuous 3hr journey from home to that should have taken 40 minutes but for a lorry fire on the Severn Bridge.
Highlights from 2022 Glos #moth group trapping events, courtesy of @MothduJour. Square-spot Dart from a baking hot August night at Bromsberrow, first Glos record since 1866. Zimmermannia amani from trapping at Hartpury Uni woodland in July, v few UK records and 1st for VC.
Replying to @JLowenWildlife
One of my moth highlights for 2022 was recording one in my Stroud garden in May - only one other tetrad in Gloucestershire east of the Severn. There's a stream with alders not far away and perhaps it was from there. Poplar and Sallow Ks are both regulars.
2022 #moth highlights: Local Glos 'away' trapping provided some good records: White-marked (Box Wood, 1st 10km sq record this century), Light Feathered Rustic (1st Rodborough Common record this century), Frosted Green (Box) and Dotted Chestnut (Stanley Woods) both new for tetrad
