A timely reminder that leaked Israeli studies found that pushing pro-Israel propaganda to Westerners didnt work & instead they advised spending millions blasting the West with racist Islamophobic content demonizing Muslims instead.
I think about that a lot while browsing Twitter

If I was a GP Partner...I would simply divert any "additional" winter illnesses to where the government has given the resource. Good luck A&E.
GP practices overlooked in Government £140m winter pressure boost
There is a ‘massive need’ for winter capacity in GP practices around common winter illnesses and exacerbations of chronic illnesses.
As ever, the elephant in the room is general practice

I genuinely marvel at the fact that people don't realise how risky virtual work is- with soft touch oversight.
And now we are doing an online hospital.

Because the GP contract is inadequqately funded and comes with riders that push the partnerships to employ non doctors rather than GPs
To increase GP training numbers but not resource General Practice properly so they can't get jobs is a massive planning failure

Why haven't appointments risen? Primary care right now is in a difficult spot
* Funding hasn't risen as much as in hospitals
* And while training posts have soared, lots of licensed GPs don't actually end up working in NHS general practice
* Finally, although headcounts have risen, each GP is doing fewer hours than they used to. Average working hours fell from 41.8 to 34.9 between 2017 and 2024.

Why did the BBC say “questioned” rather than “interviewed”?
The answer is that the BBC launders Israel’s genocide, and does so to the point that they'll frame an interview with an anti-Zionist Jewish politician like it's a police interrogation.

The Tricolore textbooks did not prepare us for all this shit going off in France. The most exciting thing that ever happened in La Rochelle was Annette falling off her bike or Philippe enjoying a particularly tense game of le badminton down l'auberge de jeunesse.

I’d you’re shocked at the damage in France to an old town hall you’ll be horrified to hear what’s happened to the beautiful old buildings and heritage of the Palestinians, Lebanese, Syrians, Iraqis and Afghans

On 19 July 2024, I published two posts on my X account in which I made allegations about Mr Mothin Ali being involved in the Harehills riots. I have accepted these were incorrect and I have jointly made a statement in open Court in order to apologise to Mr Ali and correct the record which is below.

It's become painfully clear that structuring our whole society around maximising profit instead of the wellbeing of people and planet was a REALLY terrible idea.

Mothin Ali – apology and Correction
On 18 July 2024, I published a post on my X account in which I stated that Mr Mothin Ali, an elected official and Deputy Leader of the Green Party, was involved in the Harehills riots of July 2024 in which people attacked the police.
That statement was incorrect. In fact, Mr Ali was asked by the police to use his position of trust in the community to help bring about peace on the streets. Mr Ali attended the scene for that purpose alone. He was not involved in the disorder or violence in any way, and on the contrary he was one of the principal reasons of bringing an end to the disorder. I offer my sincere apologies to Mr Ali for my post, the harm I caused, and I have agreed to pay him compensation to vindicate his reputation.

Older adults and people with complex health needs are often the highest users of healthcare, yet they are the least likely to possess smartphones or have high digital confidence. When appointments are claimed rapidly online, less digitally fluent patients are at a disadvantage.
Funny how many Reform voters who claim ALL asylum seekers are rapists are now telling us not to judge Reform on the actions of a handful of councillors?

Oh @SarahForRuncorn - this is awful! Get yourself out of there! I've said it before and I've say it again: Reform have a woman problem. Their policies make it clear. Wholly unsurprised the culture follows suit... (and imagine, these are the guys who declare themselves our protectors and saviours! Dear me...)
Warning: Offensive language
Reform UK MP for Runcorn and Helsby Sarah Pochin has said her party ‘excludes you if you’re a woman’ and that Reform has a ‘male issue’.
The comments were made as part of an undercover investigation inside Reform UK’s political operation that has found senior party officials saying they have to “defend the indefensible”, with Nigel Farage told he was “protecting” one Reform candidate from being sacked for allegedly racist views.
ITV Exposure gained unprecedented access to Reform’s Westminster headquarters, sending in an undercover reporter inside the party in January 2026, where she worked as a press officer. She secretly recorded conversations between Reform officials as they dealt with multiple accusations of racism by Reform councillors and candidates.
Sarah Pochin did not respond to our request for a comment.

11,500 patients. Eight GPs. About 180,000 contacts a year, so nearly sixteen for every patient on our list.
Nobody who contacts us is wrong to worry. But somewhere in that pile is the one patient we must not miss.
Total triage isn't about saying no. It's about finding that needle every single day, and building systems that make it harder to miss.

This can happen to anyone. And when you have it, to people who don’t understand, you can seem paranoid about resting and not pushing through fatigue.
But you aren’t, because the risk is real.
And thank you to Beth for articulating it so well. I’m so sorry it has happened to you.
