Happy #WorldPorcupineDay! 💕 Nigel, our adorable prickly pal celebrated with a walk around Zoo grounds. Coendous (also called prehensile-tailed porcupines) have long tails, used for grasping and hanging, that make up almost 10% of their body weight.

Little Chiquita is being bottle-fed every 4 hours to help the baby tamandua grow and thrive. 💗 The 13-ounce pup is also being cared for by her mom Terra behind-the-scenes.
When summer temperatures rise, our keepers find creative ways to keep our animals cool. 🍧 Chill with us (and the sea otters) this weekend during End of Summer Blast and see animals enjoy icy treats and summery enrichments. ☀️
