WHAT IS ZONE 2? I would like to condense 30 years of work and research in muscle physiology, metabolism, and bioenergetics into how I understand and describe Zone 2 from a bioenergetic perspective. I have explained these concepts many times over the years in podcasts, interviews, lectures and posts, but I have never tried to bring the entire metabolic story together visually. So here it is: 30 years of work and research condensed into five slides, in an AI-produced carousel that I guided scientifically, concept by concept. For me, Zone 2 is not simply a heart rate, power output, pace or lactate number…It is a METABOLIC STATE. It is the intensity at which mitochondrial and bioenergetic demand is the highest, while the cell can still maintain METABOLIC EQUILIBRIUM. And when that equilibrium begins to break, we start moving away from Zone 2 and into what I describe as METABOLIC DRIFT This carousel is my attempt to explain my vision of what Zone 2 represents at the biochemical and bioenergetic level. Identifying where your Zone 2 is can help targeting these cellular and mitochondrial adaptations. #zone2 #metabolicequilibrium #MetabolicDrift

Dr. Joseph Galati has been noticing a very alarming trend growing in the last 10-15 years in America “Physicians are not examining their patients anymore? That's like a thing of the past. When I see patients, every single patient gets in a gown and they're examined from head to toe. And patients will ask, "What are you going to do to me?" And I'll ask them, "Hasn't your other doctors been examining you?" And they're like, "No, they just sit and talk to me."” This is mainly driven by insurance companies - Doctors have to have quick appointments, often times 10-15 minute slots - Testing and medications have much higher reimbursement rates so they go with those over lengthy exams We need to kick big money out of healthcare

Congratulations @ElonMusk. Thanks to SpaceX's IPO, he's the first Trillionaire. He didn't TAKE money from anyone. He CREATED wealth. He launched satellites that connect even the poorest, most remote parts of the world. Our world needs more MAKERS like Musk; fewer TAKERS like:

Close all of the homeless agencies and instead give the homeless one way bus tickets to a destination of their choice. Instead of throwing more money and luring more freaks it’s time to try a different approach. #seattleisdying @MayorofSeattle @SeattlePD @SeattleCouncil

Another good job by @MayorofSeattle @SeattlePD @SeattleCouncil Elected officials have a very important responsibility and that is keep citizens safe. This is not happening. All elected officials should be impeached #seattleisdying

Awesome job @MayorofSeattle @SeattlePD @SeattleCouncil Your lack of law and order and your ignorance has caused another person to be a victim. When will we ever be like Tokyo where people follow the laws and society runs so well!!
A newly released video shows two men attacking a 77-year-old man who was walking down the street in downtown Seattle last month. The incident was captured by the city's Real Time Crime Center surveillance cameras, which monitor public areas that have been identified as crime hot spots. In the video, the victim is seen walking slowly southbound on Third Avenue, approaching a pharmacy at the corner of Pike Street. Without any prior interaction, two men shove the man to the ground and punch him, the video shows. They are then seen walking away from the man, who is left hunched over on the ground as bystanders walk past him. None of the witnesses to the attack approached or offered assistance to the man as he remained on the ground. Nothing is more frightening or more dangerous to our collective health than watching someone abandon their humanity and compassion for another human being. When empathy disappears, harm becomes justified. Suffering gets minimized. People turn into “problems,” “numbers,” or “deserving” and “undeserving” categories. And history has shown us, over and over, that once compassion is gone, the fallout isn’t abstract, it shows up as trauma, illness, fear, and loss of trust in the systems meant to protect us. Health, individual and societal, cannot exist without humanity. Full stop. It’s foundational.
