I understand people who say "why not just enjoy both? Competition is pointless."
But also, GTA fans have been very arrogant about the game deserving its own month because its the biggest game of all time.
So yeah, I'd like to see it be humbled by a game with genuine soul in it.
Nintendo is doing something most publishers would avoid: releasing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake two weeks before GTA 6.
The original and the 3D remake sold about 6.5 million copies each, but Zelda is far bigger today, Breath of the Wild has passed 34 million sales, Tears of the Kingdom is approaching 23 million.
The Zelda Nintendo Direct got 2.1 million peak viewers more than Gamescom Opening Night Live and over twice a PlayStation State of Play, the remake trailer hit 55 million views in under a day.
