The amount of people seeking help from 911 on the daily basis for suicidal ideation is staggering. We have a mental health crisis that is clearly not being addressed. Portland Police & EMS have responded to at least 4 people wanting to end their own life in the last hour. Sadly, this is not uncommon. Cycling people in and out of emergency rooms isn’t helping.
