Too Valuable to Burn: Opportunities for #Carbon in #WestVirginia - @wvdevo @VertxPartners - #Innovation #SBIR #STTR and #Defense in #AlmostHeaven #YesWV bit.ly/3P3h8T6
Onshoring this technology should be a top priority, and the thread below explains exactly why. I'm thrilled to have AmeriCarbon in the @VertxPartners network to solve national security issues while lifting up the surrounding Appalachian Region.
This is exactly why the work that we're doing at @VertxPartners is necessary. We're lowering the barrier to entry of working with the government and elevating Appalachian businesses/innovators. Grateful that @SenCapito, @Sen_JoeManchin, and @Parallax_ARD believe in the mission.
Nearly $30 billion was awarded by the federal government from 2010 - 2020. How much did West Virginia receive? Just over $40 million. 📉
That's why Vertx was founded - to help WV get its fair share of @DeptofDefense dollars.
