AI *isn't* going anywhere, even if the bubble pops. However, no creative process benefits from what is basically "give up or grow autism." Use AI constructively, not creatively, if you wish. Don't. I won't. No one needs more reasons to give up in this world right now. Support.
if you are a creative you need to adapt or just like give up and become an uber driver until everyone has a waymo. I know it’s not cool or classy to speak like this but i’m not gonna candy coat the future - it is what it is . sorry for bad new’s my purist . there will always need a human mind and touch because ai will never suffer from bipolar disorder and autism like me and other creative people 🤪

When we were teens, we ran into a cute-sounding girl on TF2. We took a stab and added her and she accepted my request. She's been offline nearly 15 years. Accepting my friend request was one of the last things she ever did on Steam ever again. Or she's online as invisible idk
does anyone else have that one internet friend that disappeared off the face of the earth and you never heard from them again

Every producer starts like this. Could be at 11, 29, 50. They find a free DAW w/random samples & place them on a timeline. They don't understand rhythm or sidechaining or para EQs. But they will. 1000 tracks like this come before every breakthrough, and 1000 more happen after it.

Aw for fuck sakes, it finally happened to me

In a surprise twist to absolutely no one with a creative, motivated, or logical mind; it turns out creativity--even the most basic, thoughtless, benign brand of it, like prompt engineering--is hard work and takes a specific brain muscle that needs work and training. Incredible!
To everyone who thought I was exaggerating:

"I grew up wanting to be an artist, but we was too poor to facilitate that dream. The lesson I learned from that upbringing wasn't to work hard with what I had for something more; it was to bring the skill floor down so far that anyone just pay to to achieve what I couldn't."
I grew up singing. I sang everywhere I went, I wrote songs in my diary, I told teachers that I wanted to be a singer & songwriter when I grew up. But wanting to be a musician in 2006 required resources that a low-income family didn't have. My parents couldn't afford to get me any instruments. They couldn't pay for music lessons. They couldn't get me into studios. A dream I had became just a memory, until now. I am beyond proud and honored to get to work at a company that is enabling music creation for everyone. For the 13 year old kid in their bedroom who dreams of being a musician, you can be one. For all of the professional artists, you can do more of what you love. I really wish Suno existed 20 years ago when I was a kid in elementary school, showing strangers songs I wrote with no way to produce them. But I'm really, really happy that it exists today, for all of the other kids who might need it. We are still just getting started :)

Step 1: Grow big enough to be too ensconced to budge (perhaps dominate a market - Spotify, YouTube, OF/PH, Facebook, Apple, Amazon etc.) Step 2: Do whatever the F you want and how DARE anyone speak against you, O mightiest of Industry Leaders Step 3: CEO profit (Millions! 🤑)

If anyone's wondering, I've always had a bad gut feeling about Spotify. Something about their priorities always told me they sucked - lowest per stream payouts, webapp sucks ass, horrible free experience. Not surprised to see they'd also stoop to abuse of power.

I guess as a muso, saying this now means *MY* published work is at risk. .@DistroKid hopefully you're not susceptible to this kind of pressure, given that your users pay you up front to publish their works and thus should free you from reliance on platform cheques. LMK if not! 👍

You know how Musk was voted out of Paypal over the whole X thing? And you know how he had to put a new scapego-uh, CEO in charge of Twitter? Wouldn't it be hilarious if the X rebrand ruined Twitter's image, and the new CEO was forced to scrap him from Twitter, too, in reparation?

Here's the thing. Reddit going dark is flawed, though valiant. Much like Netflix's password changes, protests will be meaningless unless we don't come back. 90%+ of these r/ will go back to normal in 2 days, just like how 100M people bought Netflix after the password crackdown.

Netflix has perhaps never been pushed back on as hard as it was when cracking down on passwords, yet look at the news this week - up to an estimated (and forecast by Netflix!) 100M new signups have occurred since. And that's DESPITE a saturated streaming market!

Hard as it is, as long as we just take what we're given, services will never change. If you whinge about Netflix but still sign up, you're not whinging. Change. Stream elsewhere, find other means, or even go without that service's content. Vote with views & money, not just words.

Okay @Bitwarden, real talk for a sec. I know you have to always make more than last year etc, so here's the key you probably, hopefully already know: 'greymail' into subscriptions and shady (ad?) telemetry aren't it (as here.) People will always pay for a good product that cares.
This sums up @1Password and Big Tech so well
