You're right their careers don't have to match. But we wouldn't be pointing these out if only her fans weren't so confident in broadcasting every single day that Taeyeon was oh so jealous of her and kicked her out. We bring up career stats to disprove these claims with facts
let's be honest, some jessica fans do go overboard and unfairly attack taeyeon. i'm not going to deny that. but that doesn't mean every jessica fan is like that, and it certainly doesn't justify turning jessica herself into a punching bag.
why are people so obsessed with comparing their sales, concerts, and photobook numbers anyway? if taeyeon sells out a dome, celebrate her achievement. why does jessica have to be dragged into it? taeyeon's success speaks for itself; it doesn't need to be used to put another artist down.
and if you're going to judge jessica solely by her commercial numbers, at least acknowledge the very different circumstances surrounding their careers. taeyeon has continued her career within the korean entertainment industry, while jessica left snsd in 2014 and has faced significantly different opportunities and limitations since then. the longstanding perception that jessica was effectively blacklisted in korea is an important part of this context. whether people acknowledge it or not, their access to the korean market, promotional opportunities, and career paths have not been the same. comparing their commercial performance as though they started from equal positions is an oversimplification.
jessica's career doesn't have to match taeyeon's numbers to be worthy of respect. lower sales or a concert that doesn't sell out do not erase her achievements or define her entire career. and singing snsd songs isn't something to mock her for, either. those songs are part of her own history, too.
most importantly, jessica's fans are not a monolith. some may be toxic, but many simply support her music, appreciate her journey, or feel nostalgic about her time in snsd. the same principle should apply to every fandom.
you can call out toxic fans without generalizing an entire fandom. you can celebrate taeyeon without humiliating jessica.

why is it so difficult to appreciate one artist without making another one the target?
Where are you getting the audacity of using Irene’s face as your pfp? Don’t drag irene into this shit that you made.
