Excited to share my first story for CalMatters/The Markup, in which @kharijohnson and I dug into how Big Tech is spending behind the scenes to shape data center bills. More soon!

For @BusinessInsider, @ScrawlGirl and I dug through more than a hundred pages of newly unsealed documents in the Musk v Altman case.
The document dump included everything from late night texts between execs to entries from Greg Brockman's personal diary.

Newsrooms should only publish content that is held to the same very high standards that journalists are. Sad to see our sibling company @politico not holding AI to that standard.
Last year @PENGuild became one of the first unions to win AI protections in a contract. Now, we're going for another breakthrough: The first to go into legal battle against violations of those protections.

Today, our bargaining committee sent two letters to groups with meaningful influence on Insider: Axel Springer and KKR.
We asked them to encourage Insider to give us reasonable counters, a key move toward ending our ULP strike.
Here are the letters and their key points: (1/6)
Hey @hblodget @nichcarlson — @InsiderUnion is on day 3 of a ULP strike! Your reps didn’t want to bargain this weekend. Are they bringing us better proposals tomorrow?

Our family at @InsiderUnion is on strike. Do not click on any links for Insider. Do not cross the picket line. Stand with the workers fighting for a fair contract and for the company to follow the law.

Sunny told me the incredible story of how she sought the help of an underground network of women to end her pregnancy before abortion was legal. The Jane Collective saved her life, and those of ~11,000 other women, before Roe passed.

Bounty-style laws in TX, ID, TN, OH and OK may allow for the family of a rapist —or the rapist themselves, if the assault has not been reported to the police— to sue for damages in the event their victim gets an abortion.
