Your Brain called...it's Bored. When was the last time you treated your grey matter to something new & interesting? (that long, huh?!) Feed your head some new knowledge or learn a new skill...and join others, too. Treat this like earning "Adult Merit Badges." Brain Happy.
Do you have 'Adventure' Friends? Folks that will always be game for fun outdoor activities & new experiences outside the norm. Betcha some old Scouting Alumni friends would be up for all of that! So reach out, rekindle & let the adventures begin - do it today!
Put Down the Phone! Playgrounds & pools are filled w/ parents buried in their devices - missing their kids' childhoods & raising the next generation of smartphone zombies by their example. BE PRESENT with your kiddos & ditch the device for awhile - your kids will thank you!
I might be OLD, but I can still be still be BOLD! Just back from Scotland's West Highland Way - 96 rugged miles of beauty that tested my mind & body to the max - and I'm happy to say this Scouting Alumnus did his best and had an EPIC adventure! What's YOUR Bold adventure goal?
What's your Bold Adventure Goal (BAG)? Nothing tame or easy here - might even be intimidating or scary. I'm talkin' EPIC destinations or outdoor activities that are way outside your norm. Here's your mission, Scouting Alumni: step outside your comfort zone & go after a BAG today!
Scouting for the Workplace: Encouraging Leadership. Are you cultivating emerging leaders at work? Could you personally do more to take the lead & shine? Sure - there aren't merit badges to earn, but advancement for you & your business awaits if you apply proven Scouting methods.
Your Hibernation is Officially Over. This is your spring wake-up call: get out of your cave & get active again! Get your hiking boots dirty, break a sweat doing whatever you love outside, soak in some vitamin D, and inhale some fresh air. Hear that? It's the Call of the Outdoors!
Life's Battles GoT you Stressed? You need some YOU time! Scouting Alumni excel at leadership, shouldering responsibility & giving their all. But don't forget to look out for # 1. Rest, play, laugh, indulge - whatever....do stuff for YOU. Claiming the Iron Throne can wait.
Unleash your inner Indiana Jones this Spring! Scouting Alumni know that Adventure is Out There, so make plans to get out there & "whip" up some fun, new experiences. Just promise to leave the Lost Ark where you find it & avoid the snakes.
"I wonder whatever happened to ____?" Maybe it was an old troop or camp friend, or an adult leader who meant a lot to you when you were a young Scout. But whoever comes to mind - make it your mission today to find them & reconnect. You might just make their day!
Our "Scout Me In" Journal: Ep. 4 - Girl-Powered Racing at the Pinewood Derby!! My Lion son and Wolf daughter loved the whole experience, but the look on my daughter's face when she placed 1st in a heat - priceless! I LOVE that we can all do Scouting together - thank you BSA!
No Scout-aged Kids? No Problem! Girl & Boy Scout units need skilled & experienced people like you anyway. And if unit-level service doesn't interest you, districts, councils & camps could always use various kinds of help. Make this your year to give back anyway you can!

Got the Winter Doldrums? Get Outside with Friends. Time to buck up you vitamin D-deprived, stir-crazy hermit. Your mission: phone a friend for some outdoor adventure. Scouting Alumni crave fresh air, new experiences and fellowship - so make a date & make it so!
In BSA history just 2% of all Boy Scouts have reached Eagle. But many Scout Councils, with BIG manpower, membership & money needs, don't engage these non-Eagles to get involved again. As a member of the 98% I ask WHY? Please provide your feedback....
Holidays Got You Stressed? GET OUTSIDE! Family engagements, travel, kids & a million things to juggle require some YOU TIME now. Take a relaxing, solitary walk outdoors, breathe some fresh air & reconnect with nature. You'll start off 2019 with a more calm & peaceful mindset.
