Impossible not to wonder what might have happened with Zubimendi had the lure of Klopp been with Liverpool still. That's not a slight at Slot, who hasn't had a chance yet to earn his reputation at the club. Instead, it's merely a warning of changing times (for now) at #LFC

My concern with this lauded set-up of Edwards and co. was that they would try to be too clever. Show everyone they’re the smartest in class. And this Zubimendi deal feels exactly that. They thought they pulled it off and then briefed us it was done because the kid said “yeah ok”.
