Thanks to @ericclermont87 for the conversation and the platform.
Fun discussion talking all things coaching, club and personal development.
Listen to "Developing on the job, with Scott McKenzie, USL 2 Head Coach and Academy Director at Park City Red Wolves" by Coach-Ed Soccer Podcast @ScottWMackenzie . ⚓ anchor.fm/coach-edsoccer/epi…
Coaching courses should be merit-based and earned — not guaranteed.
And the game should be learned on the grass, not primarily online.
Right now it’s the opposite. This shift began around 2019.
Until we reverse it, the coaching community will struggle in this country.

Almost too much control.
Needed a bit of chaos to unravel that low block.
It's busy season in the league and even though we haven't made any public announcements (yet) we have done good business so far. Resigned important free agents and signed players that will make us better. (1)

Dan Hurley was asked, "What does a championship culture look like?"
He said, "Everyone thinks the same things, behaves the same way, and we're all striving for the same things. That's what culture means."

Keep going mate, great read!
I recently hit my 6 month mark as an analyst for @UTRedWolvesSC and I decided to write about it, to reflect on the lessons that I've learned so far and what I want to continue to improve on.

Enjoyed the conversation! Thank you for the time.
Big episode for you this weekend.
@ScottWMackenzie, head coach/technical director of @ChattRedWolves, joined me on Wednesday to talk shop about his journey, the club, and the league across the board.
Hope y'all enjoy!
Delighted to have Stefan onboard. He's scored a lot of goals, but more importantly he has scored a lot of quality goals. He can go left, right, his movement and pace are dangerous. Big time addition to a already dangerous front line.
