Yesterday, I joined @andrewrsorkin & the @SquawkCNBC team to discuss the current state of commercial real estate in New York City. One topic I raised was the critical role of thoughtful public policy in unlocking the innovation and ingenuity of the private sector.
We're seeing this now with NYC East Midtown Rezoning program. This program, a model for successful public-private partnerships, has paved the way for some of the City’s newest and most modern office buildings, such as SL Green’s One Vanderbilt and the new JP Morgan Building.

This past week, RXR lit the iconic Helmsley building in the colors of the Israeli flag to honor and mourn the more than 1,200 people murdered by the terrorist group Hamas in southern Israel a year ago.
The human toll inflicted on the innocent because of the terrorist’s actions is beyond heartbreaking, and we pray that peace comes to the region soon.
