Looks like the traffic lights have failed in York this afternoon. Too much in the heat? @theyorkmix @CityofYork #heatwave

Two small, but extremely significant dots! After 5 years asking, the Police have agreed @yorkracecourse can provide marshals along the route across the Little Knavesmire to help get race goers safely back into town. We may need to tweak it as we go but this is really good news!
Was the lucky winner of a @theyorkbid gift card in a 'back to the office' competition by @HiscoxUK. All staff in York also received an @indieyorkmap to encourage them to rediscover the great shops, eateries and attractions in the City! #shoplocal
A fantastic day working in @Fr_RowntreePark with the team at @HiscoxUK York office! Lots of heather planted & watered, mulch moved and bushes trimmed! Thanks to Dawn for organising!
Following the close of @RateSetter to investors I've been experimenting with @elfin_market and just received my first interest on my #p2p investment. 💷 So far so good!
As investing with @RateSetter finally closes & my accounts fall to £0 (every £ back!) a *big* thank you to Rhyd & the team. A great place to work & a sad day for #p2p, a disruptive force opening up new options for lenders & borrowers. Will this crisis spur #Fintech's next wave?
As lockdown drags on it was lovely to visit the Magical Tree of Light with the new 🌈 colours for LGBT+ History Month on our evening walk @theyorkbid @YorkPride

Fantastic to hand over the first York Gift Cards to @ScottMurphy89 today, which are going to @HiscoxUK biz club members @TenancyStream & @TR_Software. It's a local business supporting local businesses who can spend their gift in… local businesses! #YorkGiftCard
Exciting to receive the FIRST York Gift Cards from @theyorkbid to give to local firms @TenancyStream & @TR_Software as a thank you for their help on a @HiscoxUK project! Doesn't it look great? #shoplocal
Start of today's Ignition event for startups with @HiscoxUK & @NatWestBusiness #PowerUp
'Be more tortoise' seems to be the key message here - reassuring rhetoric in an industry that still needs to go through a full credit cycle. #p2p
Interesting article by @rbrtrmstrng about the P2P sector in today’s @FT poses the question ‘who is likely to weather a storm?’ and answers, it will be platforms that follow a model like RateSetter
A pleasure to hear Vox Luminis this evening by candlelight @York_Minster supported by @HiscoxUK @yorkearlymusic
A stirring & worthwhile read on the anniversary of the first non-stop trans Atlantic crossing. Much more awareness & recognition needed of an amazing achievement! @alcock_brown100 @RollsRoyceUK @sciencemuseum @sim_manchester bbc.co.uk/news/extra/bM5diyl…

🎈 Happy 3rd birthday to York @HiscoxUK Business Club! Thanks to everyone who baked/ate celebratory 🍰. Lovely to see my fellow 'Originals' @TR_Software and @HoneybootLemon too, who now have their own offices. #York #freelancerlife #hotdesk
"As far as I am concerned, York is the capital of the food universe" - Yes. Yes it is!

Nice work @TPEassist - looks like you've double booked the 10.23 Liverpool-Manchester service. Any explanation? #screwup
Trying to fill in a feedback form for York's Crown @PostOffice. Step 1: enter branch postcode on receipt... How is it the Post Office doesn't recognise it's own address? Closure already agreed? @RachaelMaskell
Much needed investment in York, the championing of independent food businesses & the revamp of a down at heel, crime-ridden site? Surely an easy decision for @CityofYork? #Stonebow @independntlife yorkmix.com/food-drink/famil…
