Less than an hour after @KristenhCNN did this report about the WH announcement of lower drug prices, President Trump complained CNN would never cover such a thing and banned us from the White House. In addition to being unconstitutional, it’s so ill-informed.

As President of the Dallas-Fort Worth Association of Black Journalists and as a dues paying member of the Pro Football Writers of America and former local chapter president, I strongly condemn the actions of TCU and stand with Steven Johnson and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in calling for his credentials to be reinstated immediately.
This is about the suppression of news not the protection of students.
One player landed in the hospital, another was kicked off the team. Coach Patterson wouldn’t have been this petty and vindictive.
Johnson’s coverage of TCU has been fair, balanced and above reproach.

TCU has banned @startelegram and pulled credentials over reporting of a locker room assault that resulted in a case filing with TCU campus police.
@StevenMJohnson_ has been told that the decision stemmed from the victim receiving threats after the reporting, but Steven never identified the victim until the victim made a public statement on his Instagram about the assault three days after his initial reporting.
Steven’s trip to Ireland this weekend for TCU’s game against North Carolina is still on, despite TCU pulling his credential for the game.
The Star-Telegram is the only full-time outlet covering TCU athletics.
