The Philadelphia Eagles didn’t even care about Jalen Hurts, and you think your job cares about you? Lmao
Let's start with baseball. After the Blue Jays' 2025 World Series run, with Game 7 seats listed at up to $16,000, Ontario banned reselling tickets above face value. It's been the law since April. ca.billboard.com/business/to…
In Wisconsin lawmakers proposed a cap last fall (the SWIFTIE Act). It didn't pass, but i think folk should take another look.
There is precedent in the US: Vermont now caps resale at smaller venues and DC's 10% cap is due to begin in January.

Working class Wisconsinites are the heart and soul of the Brewers fan base. They deserve to attend the World Series.
Consumers deserve protections. We need regulation and our politicians are letting us down.

The prices being charged for World Series tickets are outrageous. And it doesn’t have to be this way.
Some countries, and even some US states, have passed laws banning the resale of tickets above the original costs. A new law was proposed in Wisconsin this year. 🧵
I just feel so unimaginably horrible for the true #Brewers fans that dreamed of going to the World Series when we made it this far.
I will reiterate, whether you can be there or not, YOU STILL MATTER.

This is it. We're constantly focused on how much the players make, but the owners have staff that do accounting games to obscure their actual earnings.

Is this the worst take in history?
“Everyone would go lol”…yeah, that’s kind of the point. We want people whose dads didn’t make $168 million in their career to be able to go to baseball games.
These prices are the most normal thing I’ve seen, ever. What’d you think a family of 4 was going to a World Series game for $500 a piece?
Everyone would go lol

in a not - jokey way, the official should be fined or suspended/demoted for a game
there should be accountability in place when a job is done this poorly in a critical spot
I do think a family of 4 should have access to affordable tickets for a baseball game l

Maybe instead of a salary cap there should be a ticket price cap

Why is the baseball media pushing so hard to kill the salary cap talk?
Yes, 3 small market teams are in the final 4, but all of the home grown stars on those teams will be playing for LAD, NYY, or NYM in 5 years without one. This year is an anomaly, Not even close to the norm
