1;4 A LETTER TO THE PEOPLE OF SCOTLAND: Dear Scotland, this comes from the heart of an auld man some may say in the prime of his life at 66. I have lived most of these years in my homeland, gained life experiences, made humongous mistakes, made great friends, lost not so πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

There is one flag in Scotland that people are technically forbidden to fly, and yet you will see it everywhere Scots gather in the world. It is the Lion Rampant, a fierce red lion reared up on a field of gold. This is no ordinary flag. It is the royal standard of the Kings of Scots, the personal banner of Scotland's monarchs, going back some eight hundred years. The lion stands on its hind legs, claws out, caught forever in the act of fighting. Around it runs a red border studded with little lilies, called the tressure. King William, remembered as William the Lion, is often said to have carried it first. By strict heraldic law, the Lion Rampant belongs to the sovereign alone. Ordinary people are not supposed to fly it at all. But no Scot has ever truly obeyed that rule, and no one has ever really tried to stop them. It appears at football matches and Highland games, at weddings and homecomings, draped over shoulders and hung from windows. And that is exactly why it matters. Wherever the children of Scotland roar for their own, the lion roars along with them. Red and gold, it is pure defiance woven into cloth, the emblem of a small nation that has never once agreed to lie down and be forgotten. The lion still stands, reared and ready. And so do the people who have claimed it as their own, in every corner of the earth. πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ‘‘βš”οΈπŸ§¬πŸ©ΈπŸ’ͺ Have you ever flown the Lion Rampant, or seen it raised somewhere far from Scotland?

On a personal note, after my own struggles with cancer over the past 5 years, it was devastating to hear last night of a close family member diagnosed with throat cancer. Sometimes it isn't easy growing old. Look after yourself folks. 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Oh, some genius sees crime reports from England and wonders if that's "officially the UK"? Newsflash, you geographically illiterate idiot it sees itself as solely the UK. England's just the arrogant middle bit that pretends the rest don't exist. 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Scotland deserves its own vibrant news channelβ€”one that is completely independent and driven by the voices of our people. It's time for us to share our stories, highlight our achievements, and keep everyone informed without outside influence.

A wee question guys, do you think there is a potential for English fans to clash with the Tartan Army in Boston and potentially ruin our great reputation abroad?

Could someone explain this to me, I have an elderly relative 67, who is a Rangers supporter, he is supporting England in this World Cup. Why? He hates the SFA, because in his mind they favour Celtic and the odd Scotland supporter that brings religion into selection.

In any normal country this would be broadcast by the national news channels, but in Scotland the story gets buried
Take a look at some highlights from First Minister @JohnSwinney meeting Scotland fans, businesses, and communities in the US.

Whatever you do, don't retweet this...
In 2007 Douglas Alexander said the only way to achieve Scottish independence was for the SNP to win a majority in a Holyrood election and then a majority in an Indyref. This could come back to haunt the new Scottish Secretary. He won't want this retweeted.
