It was a privilege to be invited to a reception with @JennyGilruth, and to get the chance to discuss the benefits of debating at schools.
Education Secretary @JennyGilruth was delighted to host a reception for members of @ScotWSDC, who won the World Schools Debating Championship.
The successful pupils were welcomed to Bute House to celebrate their achievement with their parents, carers, coaches and teachers.

Congratulations to Team Scotland and all the volunteers who make results like this possible. Debating for @ScotWSDC taught me so much about being curious about the best arguments and evidence on all sides and assuming that good people can disagree well in a democracy.
