For 40 years, the People’s Story has shared Edinburgh’s rich diverse working-class history with its residents and school pupils. The Scottish Labour History Society is alarmed to hear @Edinburgh_CC’s Culture and Communities Committee will vote on its closure this week. Pls share.

Were you involved in picket lines in Britain between 1966 and 1998? If so, our committee member, @Kelliher_D, wants to speak to you as part of his exciting new oral history project on picketing, industrial relations and protest during the late twentieth century.
August 12 marks 55 years since Willie Gallacher died. Gallacher was the Red Clyde era union leader who served as the Communist MP for West Fife from 1935-1950. His dramatic life is portrayed in a new @RL4Leisure film, broadcast online on Wednesday at 7pm. renfrewshireleisure.com/new-…
