Science AAQ questions, please share! We teach the Pearson BTEC level 3 dip/ex cert, but are open to different subjects in AAQ. We will probably run 2 small courses. I'm interested to hear what other centres are choosing and why. @chatbiology @ChatChemistry @ChatPhysics – at Manchester, England

Successive governments have chosen cheap foreign labour and skilled immigrants as it is easier than actually breaking the cycle of poverty & helping British citizens get those skills. Now 5.6M languish on benefits devoid of hope. The establishment AND the majority of Brits look the other way & expect the abandoned to just stay quiet & expect nothing.

A thread of the coolest things you didn't know about the 2024 Paris Olympics 1. Olympians who win a medal will take home a real piece of the Eiffel Tower. Fragments of iron that were removed & preserved during renovations to the Eiffel Tower during the 20th century have been infused into the medals. Each medal includes 18 grams (0.04 pounds) of the Eiffel iron.

Some leaders who have taken over a school where the culture is already calm and safe, can squander that culture quickly. They think ‘oh we don’t need to be so tight on stuff, the kids here are fine.’ So they relax their systems, drop some expectations, and tell staff, ‘I trust you, and want to empower you.

Thought I would summarise why there is so much excitement in the space weather community right now. There’s a monstrous sunspot group on the Sun that’s massive enough to be visible to the naked eye (please use eclipse glasses) 🌞 👓 (1/n)
