Otaki New World is being completely trashed due to a half story, if you live in Otaki and use New World you know exactly why the owner did what he did. He should applauded for looking after and backing his staff. Disgusting terfs trying to frame it so disingenuously.

For those of you that are upset with National’s win, just remember:
Inflation will drop to sub 3%
Fuel will drop to sub $2/litre
We’ll all pay less tax, whilst having massive investment in Health & Education
AND debts going to be paid down quicker

Something that is increasingly apparent worldwide is that there’s limited appetite by governments to respond to Covid.
It will be up to workplaces to lead change that will protect employees - and their businesses - from the impacts of Covid.
🧵Here’s how:

In the absence of action from workplaces and governments @covidactionnz have pulled together a letter that employees can use to advocate for themselves and for their colleagues.
It’s vital leadership to start these conversations.

We don't send text message reminders. If you get a text claiming it's from us, it's a scam. You can tell it's a scam because we don't send out reminder texts for tolls, regos, or licence renewals.

Shepparton-Mooroopna has a population of 68,000. By comparison in NZ, Hamilton has 180,000 and is 138km by rail from Auckland but has just 2 trains on weekdays; Palmy has 90,000 and is 136km from Wellington with merely ONE weekday train. Victoria shows better things are possible
Shepparton is about 200 kilometres from Melbourne, and receives 5 weekday and 3 weekend return services to Southern Cross. From later this year it will receive 9 return services on weekdays
Just another example of Victoria's excellent regional rail network, all for just $9.20

Why do Luxon and National want to import a failed UK Tory ideology that has ruined the UK irreparably, so that Aotearoa is controlled vicariously by UK Tories? Do not let this happen!

Sean Plunket, who was permanently suspended from Twitter today, just asked Prime Minister Hipkins at a post-cabinet press conference to define a woman.
Despite not being prepared for the question, PM Hipkins made it clear that Aotearoa will not tolerate Posie Parker's views 🏳️⚧️✊

This exchange just highlights the myopic, superficial concerns of these transphobic "gender-critical" types. Pressing people to define "a woman" for a gotcha quote doesn't protect any women; it just reduces and restricts us all to this tedious one-note debate about terminology

In the news today: "All day, cis white men have been telling those they've instructed in the past to 'harden up' when confronted with racist, homophobic and/or misogynist comments, that Marama has hurt their feelings and needs to apologise" - the very definition of hypocrisy.
