I’ve become one to use slowly less AI for development. Still for planning and discussing things and maybe helping some troubleshooting but I enjoy coding too much. Telling agents what to do has becoming boring to me.
Why yes @Tubi I will watch @MrJerryOC in sliders again for the tenth time at least.
Omarchy is really good. While I get some people may not ever want to use it or cannot stand the person making it, I honestly separate things and it doesn’t bother me. The OS itself is fantastic and super easy to use. This can bring many people to see the world of Linux.
I tried to do some Rust, but I feel so slow doing it. And no I don't want to just "vibe it all" as I want to actually know what going into my project and understand how it done. When I do Golang I just feel like I can easily understand and read it.
So are most people just paying for OpenAI right now instead of Claude? No idea what the best to use anymore. I cannot keep up with this shit.
Other issue we had this last week was my son coming back from Milwaukee on @SouthwestAir by himself, 16, was told oh you don’t need to go in first there only 40 people on this flight. First time ever had that happen with them.
In the last week we had two horrible experiences with customer service. The first was a @BurgerKing by us that actually got mad because I pulled up to the window after ordering and she said that they were short handed and said to wait for someone to come out. Never again.
i keep coming back to the same conclusion
you still need great engineers
ai is great,
but you still need people you can trust to make sure the job gets done right
people who reject bad designs and decisions
people with actual taste
you can feel the difference in the work
Felt weird making a portfolio site even though I'm not a front end person. AI really helped out with that but honestly I feel like it a weird position to be getting one going for being a backend and tools type developer.
Suggestion to all recruiters or any places hiring, don't send out denials on the weekend, especially when it is a start of a weekend. Denials are hard enough and happening all the time, let alone on a weekend. This looking for work process sucks.
Good job @MrLlamaSC for not saying anything about the new Expansion, this is sooo cool. Love seeing it.
So looking at getting a new keyboard and mouse. Want something semi ergonomic if possible but not forking out a fortune. I don’t want to make my own either. I used to use the Microsoft ergo 4000 forever but they stopped making. Any suggestions.
Thank you @falloutonprime for not calling the airport Harry Reid airport. I get I've only lived here a couple years but it will always be Mccarran
Wow @bootdotdev, seeing your ads all over the place, must say though I'm happy to see this as I remember it from awhile ago and loved the concept.
Watching Surf Ninjas for the first time in many many years. I forgot how funny this movie really is. @RobSchneider is great in it.
Hey @LinkedIn work on your fake account problem. The amount of fake “recruiters” that contact and try and connect when you do an #opentowork is horrible.
